Ring Styling with Invaluable.com!

Hello beautiful people!
It’s a habit of most people to plan or buy an outfit and then accessorize, but why can’t we do the opposite? Buy a fantastic accessory and plan an outfit around it. Whether you’re heading out for a party or heading to the grocery store – a gorgeous ring can add class and excitement to any outfit!

I’ve chosen rings from Invaluable, the world’s largest premier marketplace, to show you guys how I would style outfits based on rings from their site!
Invaluable has over 10,000 rings for their bidders to choose from for incredible prices. Not to mention all the other items they have from watches, to clothing to furniture!

I chose to style two outfits, one for everyday casual and one for evening, to show that rings can be the biggest impact of an outfit. After all, our hands are what we use to eat, talk, and drink – they are a focal point and we should show them off with amazing accessories!

First casual:

I myself am super partial to vintage jewelry, so when I saw this gorgeous sapphire flower ring I couldn’t resist. I think this is a perfect ring to wear every day and add a little something to your outfit.
I would pair this with black tights, ankle boots, a slouchy sweater, a small purse and a dark blue scarf to compliment the ring. People will not be able to stop looking at your hand while wearing a ring like this, and the outfit emphasized the unique style and colour.
Tights: Aritzia
Sweater: Urban Outfitters
Booties: Steve Madden
Scarf: Anthropologie
Bag: Aldo
Ring: Invaluable (Link above)

Evening:

The ring I chose for my evening outfit definitely makes a statement. This ring is opal and mother of pearl in quite a large setting, which makes it the star of the show! I would keep my outfit relatively simple, pair this baby with a little black dress, a black purse and some nude heels to compliment the colours in the ring and let it dazzle from my hand!
Dress: Forever 21
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Purse: Tory Burch
Ring: Invaluable (Link above)

There you have it! Obviously everyone has different tastes and styles but that’s that great thing about Invaluable, they have something for everyone!

Until next time my loves,
xoxo

Top 5 fall fashion favourites!

Hello beautiful people!
Today it is officially the first day of fall so I figured it was perfect to do my top 5 fall fashion favourites for you!
I apologize because a lot of this is not new, I picked it up in the past couple of years but it’s easy to find similar things and obviously cater to your own style and I’m sure a lot of you already have things like these in your collection!

Number one: A leather (or pleather) jacket
Doesn’t matter what colour, mine is from zara from a couple years back ($80). I just think leather jackets look so nice in fall; it adds a bit of edge to your look but also keeps you warm as the colder weather rolls in without having to wear a big parka. Leather jackets are also perfect for layering! You can wear it over a dress with some tights or just jeans and a t-shirt if you’re having a really casual day, they’re just so easy to play with and that’s something I love about having this baby in my collection, you can create so many different looks.

Number two: boots!
Combat, thigh high, ankle, whatever your style I think these are a must for the colder weather. These are my two favourites to wear; the grey ones are from aldo from a couple of years ago($100), I love the rhinestones on them because I honestly just love a bit of glitter. These are great for days when I’m feeling a little bit more slouchy and just want something comfy and cute, I love wearing them with tights and a big cardigan or long shirt. The brown thigh highs I got last year around this time and they’re Steve Madden ($90) I like to wear these when I’m feeling a bit dressier and want to wear something a little more girly. I still like these with tights or jeans and a nice top or even a dress; again boots can be so versatile.

Number three: A nice leather purse
I got this navy Michael Kors bag last year ($375) Obviously you can use whatever you have or whatever fits into your budget, I bought this as a treat to myself after I finished work last summer. I love that it can be cross body or a shoulder bag and it’s a good size, it can still fit my make-up bag and wallet and hats and mittens when it comes to that time of year. I like to use a bigger bag in the colder months because I always feel like I need more things, I also really like that this bag has gold hardware; gold is just gorgeous for fall against all the darker colours that start to come out.

Number four: Scarves
I love scarves; I have a rather large collection because I feel like they can really pull an outfit together as well as keep you warm. The mint knit one I got as a Christmas gift from Carmen’s little brother last year so I’m not sure how much it cost but it’s from aldo and it’s probably one of the warmest scarves I own. The black one is from Zara and I like that it’s a little bit lighter so I can wear it when the weather isn’t super cold yet. As I said I feel like a scarf can either dress down an outfit or dress it up depending what kind of pieces you’re wearing.

Number five: Black tights
Okay, I think this one is just a given. Tights are one of the most versatile things in a girls wardrobe. You can wear them on their own with a cute top, or under a dress etc. These are from lulu lemon ($90) they were quite expensive but their thicker material so they don’t stretch out or lose their black pigment over time. I’ve had mine a year and they look the same as the day I bought them, and I wear them a lot! We all have days when we don’t feel like wearing jeans but we don’t want to wear sweats either, that’s where these babies come in, because you can still achieve a cute look and be comfortable!

Those are my top 5 fall fashion favourites! Let me know in the comments what some of yours are! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and keep your eyes peeled for the next few days as there may be a haul coming up very soon!
You guys are the best!
until next time,
xoxo

Spring has sprung! Luvocracy Collection and GIVEAWAY!

Hello beautiful people!

So I have some very excited news! In honor of spring being upon us I’ve paired with Luvocracy to do a little giveaway for my wonderful readers.
(All the details will be at the end of the post)
Not sure what Luvocracy is? No problem! It’s a website where you can search beauty products, fashion, jewelry, home décor – pretty much anything, and within your profile you can make collections themed with the things that you love or want i.e “beauty” or “wishlist”, your collections are public and other people can “luv” the products you do as well! One of the best things about Luvocracy is that you can actually purchase most of the items that are shown on the site, so instead of searching on the internet to find that nail polish or lip gloss you wanted, you can get it right from Luvocracy!

I’ve created a Luvocracy collection of all of my must haves for spring!

spring-must-haves

Steve Madden Thunder-c boot
These are adorable for spring time, the brown leather really adds a more gentle look to your outfit and the eyelet lace adds just a little touch of femininity to the combat look.

Rebecca Minkoff mini M.A.C
My best friend Amber bought me one of these for Christmas this year and I’ve just been itching to use it! They’re such a good size as you don’t need a huge purse to put hats or mittens in anymore, just something nice to hold your wallet, sunglasses and maybe a lip gloss or two. Her bags also come in the most incredible colours for spring!

Kate Spade bow earrings
I just think bows are the best thing ever, they can add a certain quirkiness to any outfit and these earrings are perfect to do just that! They’re not overwhelmingly large; I think they’re cute and classy.

Tiffany&co infinite bracelet

My parents gave this bracelet to me for my birthday last year and I wear it every day, It’s so dainty delicate but can be paired with a watch to make it more casual or worn on its own to dress your outfit up a bit. Tiffany makes the best bracelets that are just a great addition to anyone’s jewelry collection.

Anthropologie may flowers loop scarf
I love spring for all the layering you can do, and I am honestly a scarf addict I wear them all the time in spring and fall. This scarf from anthropologie is a great way to complete a simple and nice outfit because of the detailing on it!

Talula Manhattan leggings

I can’t say much aside from the fact that these are my favourite leggings, a must have in my collection.

OPI nail polish in ‘do you lilac it?’
This is just such a perfect spring nail colour! Why not have your fingers look like little Easter eggs? This purple polish will add a little bit of fun to every outfit! And it’s also one of my personal favourites.

Revlon colour stay lip gloss in the colour ‘Peony’
This gloss is such a beautiful light pink colour with shimmery particles in it, but it’s not overly sparkly, it just leaves the most gorgeous effect on the lips as well as adding a little bit of colour. It looks great paired with a gold eye shadow and coral cheeks which is a go-to spring look of mine! Also, peonies are my favourite flower so it’s just a bonus that this gloss is called Peony.

Brandy Melville Agnete knit cargidan
I love the detail in this cardigan; it’s just so soft and delicate looking and would be gorgeous paired with jeans or tights. It’s also light enough that you could wear it on its own or layer it with a jacket, I also like that it’s a little bit different from the classic Brandy Melville slouchy cardigan.

MAC blush in ‘Pink Swoon’
Pink swoon has to be in my top 5 MAC blushes, it’s a matte hot pink colour that transfers onto your cheek flawlessly and creates the most amazing flush. Since its matte it looks very natural, as if your cheeks just look like that! This is definitely another must have in my collection.

I would love it if you guys would go and check out my spring has sprung collection, hopefully it’ll give you some inspiration for new spring fashion and beauty or if you’re nosy like me and just want to check out what other people are loving for the warmer weather!
