Blogmas day 9! – D.I.Y Christmas Ornament!

Hello beautiful people!
I hope you’re all doing very well today!
I unfortunately hurt my foot so I’ve been trying to stay off it as much as possible, but luckily for me I got to another D.I.Y project for you guys while nursing my tootsie!
But first:

A holiday tradition I love to do for my family and friends is to make them ornaments for their trees! I’ve done it the past few years, and every year I smile seeing all my home-made ornaments hung on their trees!
This year I ordered my kit from Mary Maxim because they have super cute kits, that make pretty large quantities of ornaments and in general just great crafting/knitting/ all you could want kind of place.
My kit cost $19.99 and makes 12 little snowmen which are adorable and super easy to make!

You will need:
Your kit equipped with silver pipe cleaners, beads for the bodies, beads for the hats and ribbon for the scarves.
A hot glue gun
A ruler
Needle nose pliers and wire cutters
And string (left over from Christmas garland)

First step is to cut your pipe cleaners into 3 inch pieces

Next is to create a small loop on the bottom of the pieces with the needle nose pliers

Then string your beads on from biggest to smallest, putting a dollop of hot glue on each bead before adding the next to make sure they don’t fall apart

Next glue on the cute little hat!

Tie on the ribbon to make a scarf for the little guy and create an additional loop on the top of pipe cleaner for your string.

Now you’re ready to hang the snow man on the tree!

This is a nice and easy craft to do, and if you couldn’t get your hands on the kit you could go to your local craft store and buy all the supplies separately!
I hope my friends and family are happy with their ornaments this year!

Now I’m going to ice my foot and watch my Christmas movie.
Tonight’s movie is The Santa Clause, one of my all-time favourites from my childhood!
Enjoy your evening
You guys are the best,
Until tomorrow,
