Little Holiday LUSH Haul

Hello beautiful people!
There are only 44 days until Christmas and I’m getting more excited every day! People in my neighbourhood have started putting up their lights, and all the stores and cafes have decorated for the holidays, and I just love it!
As I’m sure most of you know, LUSH brought out their Christmas collection a few weeks ago, and I promised myself I would wait until after Halloween to go in and purchase anything. Keeping my promise, I went in last week and picked up a few things, I wanted to go CRAZY because its just so festive, but I restrained and only bought 5 products.
I decided I wanted to pick things that were new, or that I’d never had before, but I’m sure once I use these 5 I’ll head back to LUSH to grab some of my Christmas favourites.

First I picked up the Stardust bath bomb ($5.25). This one doesn’t look very exciting, but the girl in the store assures me that once you pop this in the bath something magical happens, and honestly I just love stars so I wouldn’t have minded if it didn’t do anything fancy. This one smells like vanilla and a little bit floral as it has bergamot in it – I find the scent of this really soothing and relaxing, great for an evening bath when you just want to chill out.

Next I grabbed Cinders bath bomb ($4.95). Surprisingly enough I’ve never had this little guy, but I’ve heard great things about it! It has little popping candies in it which is so fun, and it smells warm and spicy which is a nice change from some of the sweet holiday scents. It has cinnamon and orange oils in it which create the perfect festive bath – It really reminds me of the smell of some holiday candles, which you could light while you have a bath with Cinders, and your bathroom will smell incredible and Christmasy!

The Experimenter bath bomb ($8.95) isn’t specifically Christmas, but it is new to LUSH. This massive bath bomb is made of all different colours and is meant to make your bath psychedelic and colourful. This baby also has popping candies in it to add to the experience, and it smells of vanilla and candies. It’s a very sweet smell, but also quite fresh. I’m very excited to give this one a whirl!

The Yog Nog bath bomb ($6.95) called my name because it smells like toffee, super sugary and warm, I absolutely couldn’t resist it. It’s embossed with cute little pictures of christmas trees and ornaments which add a nice little festive touch. I’m definitely going to pop this in the bath on a night where I want to cuddle up with some cookies and a cup of tea after my bath and watch a Christmas movie!

Last I had to grab the new Magic Of Christmas re-usable bubble bar ($9.95). This honestly does look magical, it’s all covered with gold glitter and held on a cinnamon stick! and the little red bow with the bell just adds the cutest christmasy touch! This smells similar to Cinders as it’s quite spicy with cinnamon and clove oils, but also very warm with almond oil. I’m going to use this one closer to Christmas so I can really get into the spirit, and I’ll definitely be using it on Christmas eve to pump myself up for the best day of the year!!!!

That’s it for now my loves,
I don’t think I’ll be posting next week, because Carmen and I are taking a little vacation and heading to Orlando to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Disney!
Until next time,

LUSH Easter Collection Haul!

Hello beautiful people!
Hopefully you all had exciting weekends and Monday isn’t treating you too badly!

The other day I was wandering through the mall and noticed that LUSH has their Easter collection out! Now I know I don’t need to justify the fact that I just absolutely had to pick up some of the cute stuff they have available right now!

First up I grabbed the Fluffy egg bath ballistic ($5.95) because it smells like marshmallows and cotton candy! Super sweet, bright pink and girly!

Next is the immaculate eggception in yellow ($12.95), they have a pink one as well but I preferred the scent of the yellow one; It smells like vanilla and grapefruit, very fresh but also comforting. Since this one is so big, you can crack it in half and get 2 baths out of it, but it also has a secret surprise inside!

I absolutely had to get the bunch of carrots ($12.95) because they look so real! Each one is a bubble bar, so you crumble it under running water and you’ll have yourself an orange bubble bath.
These smell like lemon and bergamot, very fruity and fresh, each one should give you at least one bath, or more if you don’t like a lot of bubbles!

Finally I picked up hoppity poppity ($4.95) which is a little bunny bath bomb that smells very earthy. It has lavender, lime and violet which isn’t something I would typically go for, but I really liked it in the store so I’m eager to give this one a go in the tub!

They had a few more cute products for Easter, but these four were my favourite!
Let me know if you’ve picked up any of the new LUSH collection and what your favourites are!
Until next time loves!

January favourites!

Hello beautiful people! I hope you’ve all had a lovely week, and are looking forward to a fun weekend!
Since we’re only a couple of days away from the beginning of February, I figured a January favourites post was in order!

My first January favourite has got to be my new kitten, Woobie. She is the cutest, most energetic little baby, and I can’t imagine my house without her now!

Next is actually a YouTube channel! I decided I want to make more of an effort to be physically active, but I’m so not a gym kind of person, so I haven’t always been motivated to exercise.
After finding Blogilates,that’s definitely changed!
Cassey Ho creates workouts that are fun and effective; they’re also not that long, which I personally prefer as I’m not the kind of person who can work out for hours on end! I’m definitely going at my own pace and taking it slow, but I look forward to working out alongside her videos! If you’re finding it hard to get motivated, I’d check out her channel.

During the winter months, I find my hair gets super dry and frizzy and my regular drugstore products just aren’t cutting it.
To remedy my issue, I went into Sephora and picked up the Living Proof PHD (perfect hair day) system, which has a shampoo, conditioner and a leave in treatment.
After the first use of these products my hair looked so much softer and healthier, there was way less frizz, and all in all my hair looked and felt 100 times better. I use the leave in treatment on my damp hair, and then I’ll either blow dry it or let it air dry, but I always end up with salon soft locks!
The shampoo and conditioner are quite pricey, at $30 a bottle, but as gross as it is, I only wash my hair 2 times a week, so the bottles last quite a while. I would say if you can’t afford those, at least go for the leave in treatment ($18) because I feel like alone it would still make your hair feel incredible!

The Revlon colourburst laquer balm in tease is my next favourite. I’ve been wearing this every single day, it’s so gorgeous!
I recently used this in a drugstore make up look post, so I won’t go into too much of a ramble, but this pencil is hydrating while adding a lovely wash of colour to the lips. I’ll definitely continue using this throughout February and into the spring.

I think I’m super late to the party on this product, but the Maybelline colour tattoo cream shadow in Bad to the Bronze (or on and on bronze depending where you live) is honestly incredible. It’s a gorgeous bronzey- taupe shade that creates a really beautiful effect on the lids. It’s got great pigmentation and it’s long lasting, just like all the other colour tattoos. I wear this by itself, or with shadow layered on top to add more intensity.
I’m sure a lot of you already have this in your collection, but if you don’t, I promise it’s worth the hype.

Another product I wrote a whole blog post on is the LUSH cosmetics Mask of Magnaminty, so again, I won’t gas on about it. I use this mask once a week and have definitely noticed a huge improvement in my skin! I have way less break outs, and my skin looks smooth and glowing. If you haven’t tried this, please give it a shot! It smells great and really works!

Yet again, a product I’ve already done a post on, but really love!
The Covergirl full lash bloom mascara separates lashes while adding a good amount of volume, and literally 0 flaking. I’ve worn this mascara for 12 hours straight without a single flake falling, and it’s not even a waterproof formula! The packaging is cute, and it’s a drugstore product so the price is right! If you’re looking for a new mascara, I would highly, highly recommend this one!

Finally is another skin care discovery! The kiehl’s midnight recovery concentrate is a blend of essential oils to help hydrate, and add radiance to your skin. You can use it on its own, or underneath your night cream depending how much hydration you want/need. I noticed a difference after only a few days of using this stuff! My skin looked less red, my blemishes weren’t as sore; my skin just looked hydrated and lovely. Also this serum smells slightly like lavender, which is soothing when you’re trying to fall asleep.

January was full of new favourites!
Let me know if you guys have tried these & what you think of them!
Until next time,

LUSH Mask of Magnaminty Review

Hello beautiful people!

On my last trip to the mall, I went into LUSH looking for a new face mask, because believe it or not I’ve never tried one of theirs (and really I can’t walk passed LUSH without going in).

I’ve read a few reviews on LUSH’s Mask of Magnaminty ($14 for the small tub), which is meant to help clear your skin, so I thought I’d give it a try, because my skin has been breaking out quite a lot lately.
You can actually use this mask on your body as well, so if you suffer from back or chest break outs, this might be a good product for you to look into.
This isn’t one of their fresh masks, so you don’t need to keep it in the fridge, but you should keep it in a relatively cool place.
This mask is green in colour with some squishy lumps in it, and then it also has some harder pieces which are adzuki beans, that help to exfoliate your skin when you rinse it off.
It has honey, and peppermint in it as well, which make this product smell absolutely divine, it’s nice and sweet but also fresh. You apply this mask to a clean face, avoiding your eyes and mouth, and leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes. It doesn’t dry or anything, so once your 10 minutes is up, you can rinse it off with warm water and use your fingers to help you scrub your skin with those little beans.
When it’s on your skin you don’t really feel anything, maybe slight tingling where you have a blemish or two, but aside from that it feels really nice on your face.
It leaves your skin feeling very clean, but also soft and slightly more even.
Once I’ve rinsed it off, I follow it up with my regular skin care routine, and then go to bed or, apply my make-up depending on what time of day I’m using this particular mask.
I find for a day or two after using this my skin definitely purges impurities, so I get a few more spots and blemishes, but after that short amount of time my skin clears up and looks really good!
I’ve used this twice so far and it’s honestly one of the best detoxifying masks I’ve ever used, after using it those couple of times I notice a big difference in my skin.
If you haven’t tried this mask, and are struggling with your skin at the moment, or are just looking for a deep cleaning mask, I would 100% recommend this!
let me know if you’ve tried this, and what you think of it!
Until next time,

Blogmas day 19! – A cookie decorating party & A bath with santa

Hello beautiful people & happy Friday!
Last night was so much fun, it was so nice to see all my friends and decorate some delicious cookies.
I sort of dropped the ball and got too excited once people started to arrive, that I forget to take pictures, but I did manage to take some of my décor!

There were 6 of us, which was the perfect number to sit and chat and enjoy some food.
A couple of the girls stayed over, which was great because we got to go for breakfast this morning and continue catching up.

Once I got home I opened my advent calendars
Then I proceeded to clean up the mess from last night, which did not take as long as I expected.

Tonight Carmen, my sister Jen and I, are heading over to my sister Kate and her husband Wes’ house for some festive fun. I think we’re going to have some dinner and watch a Christmas movie which I will let you guys know about tomorrow.

As for the rest of the afternoon, I am going to take a nice relaxing bath with my Santa bath bomb from LUSH, and catch up on some YouTube videos.

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday night!
Until tomorrow,

Blogmas day 7! – A lazy Sunday!

Hello beautiful people!
Last night was so much fun, my mom really enjoyed her birthday dinner and the Christmas party Carmen and I went to after was a blast. Lots of games, gifts, food and good people which is my favourite kind of party.

Today has been quite a lazy day because we were up very late, so I got up and had some breakfast and then opened my calendars.
I’m so excited to try out this pale yellow polish, I have nothing like this in my collection and really love pastels for spring and summer!

I decided to have a nice relaxing afternoon, so of course I filled up the tub and threw in my melted snowman bath melt from LUSH. This little guy is part of their holiday collection and smells like gingerbread, it doesn’t make bubbles but it makes the water feel silky and you come out with the softest skin and smelling like a gingerbread man, what’s more festive than that?

Sometimes I take a book with me into the bath, but I was in the mood to watch some Gilmore girls so I took my laptop in and set it on a stool outside the tub, it’s quite an awesome set up if I do say so myself. I also never take a bath without my bath pillow which makes it more comfortable to be in there for a while!

Recently my skin has been breaking out, I don’t know if it’s just due to the change in weather or what but it’s really been bumming me out so, I decided to use my favourite detoxifying face mask to try and help remedy my situation. I’ve raved about the Origins clear improvements charcoal mask a bunch so I won’t go into too much of a ramble, this stuff just pulls impurities out of your skin helping to clear it up and leave it looking radiant and gorgeous, if you haven’t tried it I would suggest giving it a shot!

Sorry this is a short one but as I said today’s a bit of a lazy day. As soon as I’m finished with this I’ll be watching the Christmas movie of the day which is going to be The Grinch (The Jim Carrey version).

Tomorrow’s post is going to be another one with some sweet treats so don’t forget to come back and check that out! (Especially if you love peanut butter)
You guys are the best!
Until tomorrow

My pamper night essentials!

Hello beautiful people!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! The weather here in T.O was beautiful and I was feeling very good because I got to carry out my Friday tradition which always sets me up for a great weekend. Now Fridays are a very special day to me because they are my pamper day! As I’ve said to you guys before I’m a gardener, so my job can get quite physical and most of the time I end up coming home covered in dirt. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love my job, but at the end of the week it is so nice to have something to look forward to! When I get home from work I have a snack and then spend the next couple of hours in total bliss just for myself which I think we are all entitled to at least once a week because we all work hard!
These are the things I use to make my Friday pamper sessions incredible:

A good smelling Candle! Currently I’m burning the bath& body works coconut leaves, this is nice refreshing scent that makes me think of my vacation in the Bahamas with Carmen and it makes me smile!

Bubble bath! What is a pamper night without a bubble bath!? Currently a couple of my favourite bubbling products are the LUSH creamy candy bubble bar and philosophy vanilla birthday cake bubble bath. Both smell super sweet and delicious and I find they leave my skin feeling nice and soft! I like to soak for around 30 minutes with a nice big glass of ice water (or vino depending how I’m feeling) and a good book or some music, such a lovely way to relax on a Friday after a long week at work!

A good scrub is a must when having a pamper evening, after I’ve done all my soaking and relaxing I go in with my Soap and Glory Flake Away scrub! It smells delicious; it’s the classic S&G scent which I absolutely love. This scrub is pretty granular which I like in a good exfoliator, the only weird thing I find with this product is that over time even with the lid on it turns this like vibrant yellow colour!( The picture doesn’t capture the colour well) So strange! Has anyone else found that with this product? Let me know in the comments! But this exfoliator gets rid of all the nasty dead skin cells I have and gets me all ready for my next essential product

Once I’ve rinsed that off I go in with the L’occitane almond shower oil which comes out of the bottle like an oil but actually lathers when you put it onto your wet skin. It’s incredibly moisturizing and it smells really nice, I think in general all products for a pamper night should just smell lovely! If you have dry skin or really just want to give your skin a nice treat I would absolutely suggest picking this stuff up because it is divine, it leaves your skin feeling soft and supple and super hydrated

By the time I’m done all that crazy stuff my bath water is usually cold so I’ll get out and apply a face mask, my skin has really been bumming me out lately so I’ve been using the Origins clear improvements mask or the Glam Glow YouthMud to add a little radiance to my skin. I’ve written about both of these in passed posts but basically the Origins masks uses clay to draw impurities out of the skin and makes pores appear smaller. This is by far one of my all-time favourite masks! If you’ve never tried this I would highly highly recommend this. I like to use Glam Glow when I feel like my skin needs a little pick me up! The tingling is a little uncomfortable but the results are very nice, my skin is definitely brighter after using this mask.

Whilst my mask is drying I’ll moisturize my skin with the Fresh sugar lychee body lotion which is my favourite lotion but it’s rather expensive for such a small bottle (26$) so I only use it when I want to treat my skin. It smells like sugar candies I used to eat when I was younger which is originally why I bought it, but the formula is so luxurious! It’s a nice and light cream that absorbs beautifully into the skin leaving it feeling refreshed and hydrated.

All these things combined create the perfect pamper night for me, which leaves me feeling relaxed with soft skin and a radiant complexion that makes me feel great about myself so I can enjoy my weekend and look forward to doing it all again the next Friday!

I hope you all have a lovely week in whatever you’re doing, and don’t forget to enjoy some sunshine and a few minutes for yourself every day!
Hit all the good buttons and let me know in the comments what some of your favourite pamper night essentials are!
Until next time, xoxo
