Ring Styling with Invaluable.com!

Hello beautiful people!
It’s a habit of most people to plan or buy an outfit and then accessorize, but why can’t we do the opposite? Buy a fantastic accessory and plan an outfit around it. Whether you’re heading out for a party or heading to the grocery store – a gorgeous ring can add class and excitement to any outfit!

I’ve chosen rings from Invaluable, the world’s largest premier marketplace, to show you guys how I would style outfits based on rings from their site!
Invaluable has over 10,000 rings for their bidders to choose from for incredible prices. Not to mention all the other items they have from watches, to clothing to furniture!

I chose to style two outfits, one for everyday casual and one for evening, to show that rings can be the biggest impact of an outfit. After all, our hands are what we use to eat, talk, and drink – they are a focal point and we should show them off with amazing accessories!

First casual:
I myself am super partial to vintage jewelry, so when I saw this gorgeous sapphire flower ring I couldn’t resist. I think this is a perfect ring to wear every day and add a little something to your outfit.
I would pair this with black tights, ankle boots, a slouchy sweater, a small purse and a dark blue scarf to compliment the ring. People will not be able to stop looking at your hand while wearing a ring like this, and the outfit emphasized the unique style and colour.
Tights: Aritzia
Sweater: Urban Outfitters
Booties: Steve Madden
Scarf: Anthropologie
Bag: Aldo
Ring: Invaluable (Link above)

The ring I chose for my evening outfit definitely makes a statement. This ring is opal and mother of pearl in quite a large setting, which makes it the star of the show! I would keep my outfit relatively simple, pair this baby with a little black dress, a black purse and some nude heels to compliment the colours in the ring and let it dazzle from my hand!
Dress: Forever 21
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Purse: Tory Burch

There you have it! Obviously everyone has different tastes and styles but that’s that great thing about Invaluable, they have something for everyone!

Until next time my loves,

fashion & random stuff haul!

Hello beautiful people!
I’ve done a bit of shopping over the past couple of weeks and thought I’d share what I picked up with you guys! It’s a little bit of everything from a few different stores!

From h&m I picked up 3 tops! The first one is a silky material with short sleeves and a little v in the front; I loved this as soon as I saw it because it’s white and covered in little red hearts. It’s a little bit slouchy but I still find is flattering for my figure, I’d wear this with dark jeans and really any kind of boot or shoe($20).

Next is a grey sort of stripy top that goes quite long in the back, it’s a jersey material and super comfy. I think it will look super cute with tights and a big cardigan and a scarf, it’s just a perfect casual t-shirt for fall ($20).

The last top I picked up is another t-shirt with a cartoon hand making a peace sign but I couldn’t resist because of the glittery red nail polish! Again I think this will look good with jeans or tights and a scarf or some cute boots; just another good comfy fall tee($15).

Next I went to forever 21 and picked up these booties ($32). I love that they’re grey because I feel like they’ll match absolutely everything, and the heel is super thick which makes them comfortable to walk in.

Then I found this great basic black dress in old navy ($30). I thought this was a great addition to my wardrobe for fall and winter because it will definitely look great with lots of different bottoms and shoes. I love basics because you can play them up so well with accessories, I could wear this with flats and a scarf to make it casual or with a statement necklace and some heels for a date night or event. It has a very flattering fit for my figure but is still cotton with a little bit of stretch which makes is super comfortable, I’m super happy with this purchase.

That’s it for clothing but I did go in to Davids Tea which is a Canadian loose leaf tea company that originated in Montreal. I like to get my teas from here because some of them are certified organic and they also just have incredibly unique flavours of tea as well as seasonal collections. I had a couple of gift cards to burn so I picked up a new thermos, this one is glass with a silicone slip to make sure you don’t burn your hands. It also has a little mesh basket with a lid so you can brew your loose leaf tea and drink it without having to worry about getting the tea leaves in your mouth! I also picked up a couple of teas to try out!

Last but not least is the product I’m most excited about picking up despite its price and it’s the new YSL Le teint encre de peau foundation ($64). I am in love with the product! It has a liquid to powder sort of formulation but just looks incredible on the skin, it also has quite a fresh scent; almost like cucumbers. It has a sort of weird spatula applicator but for hygiene purposes I just dump a little only the back of my hand and apply it with a brush. This has a pretty matte finish and I’d say medium to full coverage but it doesn’t budge all day despite its very light feel, and just has a beautiful effect on the skin. It makes your complexion look even and healthy, I would definitely recommend going to get a sample of this stuff because it is amazing, this will definitely be in my make-up bag for a long time.

Those are all the goodies I’ve picked up in my last few shopping trips! Leave me a comment letting me know what you think and if you’d like to see more of these posts.
Until next time,

April Favourites!

Hello beautiful people
I cannot believe how quickly April FLEW by, it’s honestly surreal, I feel like yesterday I was writing my March Favourites post!
anyhoo! This month’s favourite is a little random, a couple beauty products, a couple fashion items and a couple of food items as well! I wanted to throw a few different favourites in so you guys can get to know me a little better 🙂

First up is my Rebecca Minkoff Mini M.A.C purse, Amber bought this for me for Christmas and since the weather has gotten nicer I’ve finally been able to take it out and I LOVE it, such a lovely gift to get and such a cute bag for spring time. Since she got me the stripped one it matches pretty much anything I wear because the colours are pretty neutral, and also fits in with the nautical theme that seems to be quite on trend this season. It’s nice and small so I can fit my wallet, my phone, a pack of gum and some lip gloss, which is nice because in winter I find I carry a lot more in my purse. So this one allows me to downsize and only carry what I really need! All and all this is definitely going to be my staple handbag for spring and summer time!

Next is this necklace I picked up in Forever21, I like to wear this with a really plain shirt or dress to make it a little fancier and add a cute springy flourish, a bonus is that it was on sale I think I paid around 11$ which is a steal. The cream coloured flowers match pretty much everything and gold is nice and warm which is a nice change for me as I almost only wear silver. I normally don’t wear a lot of jewelry but I’ve been seeing these statement necklaces on people and they look so lovely and chic that I just had to get one and I’ve really been enjoying wearing it and I will definitely be picking up a few more!

As I said in my last post I absolutely love all the Marc Jacobs fragrances, so when I heard he was bringing out a new limited edition scent of the daisy and daisy eau so fresh line I just had to check it out. I went into Sephora and gave them both a sniff and fell in love with the new Daisy eau so fresh delight scent, I’ve been using this every single day since I picked it up, it was quite expensive at $89 but I used my 15% when that promotion was going on so I thought it was a good deal. It smells so fresh and light, it’s almost a mix of the regular eau so fresh and dot with a little more of a floral accent. The bottle is also adorable with all the colours and the classic daisy accents on the lid, so if you’re in the market for a new spring fragrance I would definitely recommend checking these out.

I’ve had this next product in my collection for about a year but I used it every single day in April because it is absolutely gorgeous. The Dior amber diamond powder highlighter creates the most gorgeous glow to the cheek bones, we’re talking like Victoria secret angel glow. I’ve also been using this on top of a matte bronzer as eye shadow which creates a beautiful effect, I got that tip from my favourite youtube beauty guru Tanya Burr – if you haven’t watched her videos you should check them out! She is brilliant. Amber Diamond is just a gorgeous product, a little pricey at $45 but you don’t need a lot as it is so shimmery, I’ve barely even put a dent in mine. This is such a fantastic highlighter for spring if your skin is still a little dull from the longest winter ever, I can’t say enough good things about it, it’s just incredible.

The next two favourites are food items, First is the Harvest Crunch quinoa chocolate nut medley granola bars, I think they come with fruit as well but I prefer these ones cause they have some chocolate in them haha. I find it so hard to pick granola bars in the grocery store because of the sheer amount of them; it’s a whole aisle of them! So when I saw these I pounced because quinoa is a pure protein which is great if you need some energy and it’s a nice alternative to a classic granola bar, plus they’re absolutely delicious!

Finally is the bolthouse farms Green Goodness smoothie, I find it difficult to fit the recommended amount of vegetables in my daily routine and I know that’s terrible so I wanted to try to make a conscious effort to be better about what I’m putting into my body. When I saw these at Loblaw I kind of thought “this looks like it could be either really good or really gross” but they were on sale so I picked one up and they taste GREAT. I finished the first bottle in 3 days and went back to get more! They have mango, pineapple, banana, kiwi and apple but also spinach, green tea, wheat grass, barley grass, garlic and a bunch of other things that are really good for you. I’ve been drinking one glass of this every day and I do feel like I’m doing good things for my body which puts me in a positive mood!

Well that’s it for my April favourites, let me know in the comments if you like the little random favourites I added or what posts you’d like to see from me next! Also, I’ve been pondering the idea of starting a YouTube channel, what do you guys think? Would you watch? Let me know! Don’t forget to hit the good buttons!
Until next time my loves, xoxo
