Haul #4 – VIB Rouge Sale part 2

Hello beautiful people!
How has your week been so far? Only two more days until Friday!! I’m definitely finding that since I started working, the weeks are going by much faster!

As promised, this is the second and smaller half of my VIB Rouge Sale haul!

First I’ll get the re-purchase out of the way! You guys all know how much I love the new Origins Original Skin serum ($48).
This is definitely one of the best serum’s I’ve ever used, after this one bottle, I’ve absolutely noticed a difference in my skin; The tone is brighter, the texture is smoother and my make up applies beautifully! I’ve droned on and on about this before, but I’m just so happy to see a serum formulated for ladies in their 20’s and 30’s.

Next I picked up one of the new Boscia Hydrogel masks ($10), there are three kinds, but I chose the charcoal pore-minimizing one. These are one time use, two piece sheet masks which makes these quite expensive, but since I had 15% off, I figured I would try it out. I haven’t used it yet, but I’ll keep you guys posted!

Finally, I bought one of the Stila Eye’s Are the Window palette’s in the shade Soul ($59). I’ve heard such good things about these, so I thought I’d add this one to my collection! I definitely went for the most neutral palette, but they do have brighter ones.
This palette has 5 matte shades, 6 shimmer shades, and one glittery shade. They have great pigmentation and they blend together really well – I did find the glittery shade slightly chalky, but that’s the only one that disappointed me.
I swatched them top to bottom starting from the left row to the right.
This is a great palette, you could create all sorts of looks with this baby! The packaging is cute and compact, which will make it easy to travel with.
Also, it has an adorable plastic insert with a lovely quote.

Let me know if you’ve tried any of these!
Until next time,

January favourites!

Hello beautiful people! I hope you’ve all had a lovely week, and are looking forward to a fun weekend!
Since we’re only a couple of days away from the beginning of February, I figured a January favourites post was in order!

My first January favourite has got to be my new kitten, Woobie. She is the cutest, most energetic little baby, and I can’t imagine my house without her now!

Next is actually a YouTube channel! I decided I want to make more of an effort to be physically active, but I’m so not a gym kind of person, so I haven’t always been motivated to exercise.
After finding Blogilates,that’s definitely changed!
Cassey Ho creates workouts that are fun and effective; they’re also not that long, which I personally prefer as I’m not the kind of person who can work out for hours on end! I’m definitely going at my own pace and taking it slow, but I look forward to working out alongside her videos! If you’re finding it hard to get motivated, I’d check out her channel.

During the winter months, I find my hair gets super dry and frizzy and my regular drugstore products just aren’t cutting it.
To remedy my issue, I went into Sephora and picked up the Living Proof PHD (perfect hair day) system, which has a shampoo, conditioner and a leave in treatment.
After the first use of these products my hair looked so much softer and healthier, there was way less frizz, and all in all my hair looked and felt 100 times better. I use the leave in treatment on my damp hair, and then I’ll either blow dry it or let it air dry, but I always end up with salon soft locks!
The shampoo and conditioner are quite pricey, at $30 a bottle, but as gross as it is, I only wash my hair 2 times a week, so the bottles last quite a while. I would say if you can’t afford those, at least go for the leave in treatment ($18) because I feel like alone it would still make your hair feel incredible!

The Revlon colourburst laquer balm in tease is my next favourite. I’ve been wearing this every single day, it’s so gorgeous!
I recently used this in a drugstore make up look post, so I won’t go into too much of a ramble, but this pencil is hydrating while adding a lovely wash of colour to the lips. I’ll definitely continue using this throughout February and into the spring.

I think I’m super late to the party on this product, but the Maybelline colour tattoo cream shadow in Bad to the Bronze (or on and on bronze depending where you live) is honestly incredible. It’s a gorgeous bronzey- taupe shade that creates a really beautiful effect on the lids. It’s got great pigmentation and it’s long lasting, just like all the other colour tattoos. I wear this by itself, or with shadow layered on top to add more intensity.
I’m sure a lot of you already have this in your collection, but if you don’t, I promise it’s worth the hype.

Another product I wrote a whole blog post on is the LUSH cosmetics Mask of Magnaminty, so again, I won’t gas on about it. I use this mask once a week and have definitely noticed a huge improvement in my skin! I have way less break outs, and my skin looks smooth and glowing. If you haven’t tried this, please give it a shot! It smells great and really works!

Yet again, a product I’ve already done a post on, but really love!
The Covergirl full lash bloom mascara separates lashes while adding a good amount of volume, and literally 0 flaking. I’ve worn this mascara for 12 hours straight without a single flake falling, and it’s not even a waterproof formula! The packaging is cute, and it’s a drugstore product so the price is right! If you’re looking for a new mascara, I would highly, highly recommend this one!

Finally is another skin care discovery! The kiehl’s midnight recovery concentrate is a blend of essential oils to help hydrate, and add radiance to your skin. You can use it on its own, or underneath your night cream depending how much hydration you want/need. I noticed a difference after only a few days of using this stuff! My skin looked less red, my blemishes weren’t as sore; my skin just looked hydrated and lovely. Also this serum smells slightly like lavender, which is soothing when you’re trying to fall asleep.

January was full of new favourites!
Let me know if you guys have tried these & what you think of them!
Until next time,

LUSH Mask of Magnaminty Review

Hello beautiful people!

On my last trip to the mall, I went into LUSH looking for a new face mask, because believe it or not I’ve never tried one of theirs (and really I can’t walk passed LUSH without going in).

I’ve read a few reviews on LUSH’s Mask of Magnaminty ($14 for the small tub), which is meant to help clear your skin, so I thought I’d give it a try, because my skin has been breaking out quite a lot lately.
You can actually use this mask on your body as well, so if you suffer from back or chest break outs, this might be a good product for you to look into.
This isn’t one of their fresh masks, so you don’t need to keep it in the fridge, but you should keep it in a relatively cool place.
This mask is green in colour with some squishy lumps in it, and then it also has some harder pieces which are adzuki beans, that help to exfoliate your skin when you rinse it off.
It has honey, and peppermint in it as well, which make this product smell absolutely divine, it’s nice and sweet but also fresh. You apply this mask to a clean face, avoiding your eyes and mouth, and leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes. It doesn’t dry or anything, so once your 10 minutes is up, you can rinse it off with warm water and use your fingers to help you scrub your skin with those little beans.
When it’s on your skin you don’t really feel anything, maybe slight tingling where you have a blemish or two, but aside from that it feels really nice on your face.
It leaves your skin feeling very clean, but also soft and slightly more even.
Once I’ve rinsed it off, I follow it up with my regular skin care routine, and then go to bed or, apply my make-up depending on what time of day I’m using this particular mask.
I find for a day or two after using this my skin definitely purges impurities, so I get a few more spots and blemishes, but after that short amount of time my skin clears up and looks really good!
I’ve used this twice so far and it’s honestly one of the best detoxifying masks I’ve ever used, after using it those couple of times I notice a big difference in my skin.
If you haven’t tried this mask, and are struggling with your skin at the moment, or are just looking for a deep cleaning mask, I would 100% recommend this!
let me know if you’ve tried this, and what you think of it!
Until next time,

April Topbox!

Hello beautiful people!
I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while but I was stuck in bed with a very nasty cold and was only concerned with sleeping and drinking lots of tea!
Now that I’m feeling much better I decided it was time to write a new post! While I was laying on the couch I got my April Topbox in the mail so here are all the things I got in it this month!
I was sent the Murale shoppers drug mart Topbox this month which came with a good variety of different products.

First thing is the Caudalie make up remover cleansing water, this is a similar product to the bioderma sensibio cleansing water which I love. The caudalie water smells nice and fresh as it has grape water and chamomile in it, it feels nice on the skin and removes face make up very well. I don’t use cleansing waters on my eyes as a I find they don’t do a great job so I use a separate make up remover for mascara and eye make-up. I love my bioderma but this is a close second and I would purchase the full size ($28) once I’m finished my other cleansing waters.

Next up is Glam Glow youth mud which is the black one, I’ve reviewed this before so I won’t say too much aside from the fact that I am definitely happy to have more of this stuff even in the sample size considering how expensive the full size is (full size $69), it is absolutely one of my favourite face masks and I definitely want to try the other two as well! I’ve heard great things about all of them.

I personally use Marc Jacobs perfumes, I have a few of them and I just love his scents, but the Clean Shower Fresh fragrance (full size $39) I got in my April Topbox is actually a really beautiful scent for summer. It’s a little bit citrusy with a TINY hint of floral; it’s a very fresh and clean scent which is great! I will definitely be giving this a try in the hotter months.

Last is the fusion beauty lipfusion XL lip volumizing therapy!( That’s a mouthful) It’s meant to be used as a night time treatment and contains hyaluronic acid and two times the active collagen as their regular glosses. I’m honestly not a huge fan of this product because generally I don’t like lip plumping glosses and I found this one made the skin around my lips turn red so I will definitely not be using this product again, it is quite expensive at $50 but if you like lip plumping products this one might be for you but unfortunately it just didn’t work for me.

So that’s everything I got in my April Topbox, as always thanks for reading and don’t forget to hit my two favourite buttons! (like&follow)
stay tuned this weekend for my April Favourites! You guys are the best, until next time xoxo

** Just a little disclaimer, I do check the prices and do a little bit of research for ingredients and uses on these products using or googling the product to find its website but generally all opinions are my own unless otherwise stated. And all photos are taken by me unless otherwise stated**
