Little Holiday LUSH Haul

Hello beautiful people!
There are only 44 days until Christmas and I’m getting more excited every day! People in my neighbourhood have started putting up their lights, and all the stores and cafes have decorated for the holidays, and I just love it!
As I’m sure most of you know, LUSH brought out their Christmas collection a few weeks ago, and I promised myself I would wait until after Halloween to go in and purchase anything. Keeping my promise, I went in last week and picked up a few things, I wanted to go CRAZY because its just so festive, but I restrained and only bought 5 products.
I decided I wanted to pick things that were new, or that I’d never had before, but I’m sure once I use these 5 I’ll head back to LUSH to grab some of my Christmas favourites.

First I picked up the Stardust bath bomb ($5.25). This one doesn’t look very exciting, but the girl in the store assures me that once you pop this in the bath something magical happens, and honestly I just love stars so I wouldn’t have minded if it didn’t do anything fancy. This one smells like vanilla and a little bit floral as it has bergamot in it – I find the scent of this really soothing and relaxing, great for an evening bath when you just want to chill out.

Next I grabbed Cinders bath bomb ($4.95). Surprisingly enough I’ve never had this little guy, but I’ve heard great things about it! It has little popping candies in it which is so fun, and it smells warm and spicy which is a nice change from some of the sweet holiday scents. It has cinnamon and orange oils in it which create the perfect festive bath – It really reminds me of the smell of some holiday candles, which you could light while you have a bath with Cinders, and your bathroom will smell incredible and Christmasy!

The Experimenter bath bomb ($8.95) isn’t specifically Christmas, but it is new to LUSH. This massive bath bomb is made of all different colours and is meant to make your bath psychedelic and colourful. This baby also has popping candies in it to add to the experience, and it smells of vanilla and candies. It’s a very sweet smell, but also quite fresh. I’m very excited to give this one a whirl!

The Yog Nog bath bomb ($6.95) called my name because it smells like toffee, super sugary and warm, I absolutely couldn’t resist it. It’s embossed with cute little pictures of christmas trees and ornaments which add a nice little festive touch. I’m definitely going to pop this in the bath on a night where I want to cuddle up with some cookies and a cup of tea after my bath and watch a Christmas movie!

Last I had to grab the new Magic Of Christmas re-usable bubble bar ($9.95). This honestly does look magical, it’s all covered with gold glitter and held on a cinnamon stick! and the little red bow with the bell just adds the cutest christmasy touch! This smells similar to Cinders as it’s quite spicy with cinnamon and clove oils, but also very warm with almond oil. I’m going to use this one closer to Christmas so I can really get into the spirit, and I’ll definitely be using it on Christmas eve to pump myself up for the best day of the year!!!!

That’s it for now my loves,
I don’t think I’ll be posting next week, because Carmen and I are taking a little vacation and heading to Orlando to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Disney!
Until next time,

Blogmas day 24! – The final festive mani & A Merry Christmas to all of you!

Hello beautiful people!
IT’S CHRISTMAS EVE! I’m so excited, my house currently smells incredible because my parents are cooking the turkey today! Since we have our whole family over tomorrow, cooking the turkey today let’s my parents relax a bit on Christmas day, because they’ll only have to warm things up.

This morning Carmen and I decided to open our stockings and gifts from each other since we spend Christmas day with our own families, and let me say, I am a very spoiled and well loved lady. I am very grateful to have such a wonderful man in my life!
(If you want a “what I got for Christmas” post, let me know in the comments)

We’re heading to his mom’s tonight for pizza and Christmas fun, which has become a really lovely tradition, so I’m looking forward to heading over there later.

Last night I decided I wanted to have very festive nails for Christmas, which obviously means breaking out the nail stickers!
I got these little candy canes from Sephora last Christmas, but I think they might still be in the sale section online!
I’m wearing a black dress tomorrow, so I thought these would add a nice little pop of colour to my outfit!

Today’s advent calendar’s were very exciting
I got another chocolate Santa and a full sized Ciate glitter, which is beautiful.

As today is the final day of blogmas I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you, it’s a really incredible feeling being a part of such a wonderful community of beauty bloggers. Without you guys I would just be a girl with way too much make up, and no one to talk to about it!
No matter where you are in the world or what you’re celebrating I hope you all have very Happy Holidays! enjoy all the food, family and fun.
Until next time my loves,

Blogmas day 23! – A day of Christmas baking!

Hello beautiful people!
I can’t believe tomorrow is the final day of blogmas, which means there are only 2 days until Christmas! December has been such a wonderful month, full of lots of festive fun.
My calendar’s today:

This year I decided I would bake a few different things for our Christmas dessert, so I spent the day in the kitchen covered in icing sugar, flour and sprinkles.
I baked some rice krispie treats to take to Carmen’s moms tomorrow night. Since we spend Christmas eve with her, I thought it would be nice to bring a little something that we could all enjoy while we open gifts!

I made peanut butter ball’s at my sister Jen’s request. I wasn’t going to make them but she begged me, and honestly I didn’t need that much convincing, because they are heavenly.
Finally I made some sugar cookies since my family really seems to enjoy them!

It is surprising how many dishes need to be done after a day of baking! So now that the kitchen is clean I’m going to curl up and watch A Muppet Christmas Carol and fall asleep!

I hope you all had a beautiful evening and I’ll be back tomorrow for the final day of blogmas!
You guys are the best,

Blogmas day 20! – Another festive mani & outfit of the day

Hello beautiful people!
Hopefully your Saturday has been fun and festive so far! only 5 days until Christmas!!
Last night was a lot of fun at Kate and Wes’s; we ended up watching A Charlie Brown Christmas, which to be honest I didn’t like very much. All the other kids are so mean to Charlie Brown, and I know he’s a bit of a Debbie downer but that’s no need to call him names all the time!

Today was a bit of a busy day for me, I got up and went to the salon to get my hair coloured and cut. Just a small trim and a few highlights put in, nothing super exciting.
When I got home I opened my calendars! Only 4 more days of chocolate and nail polish!

I decided to give myself another festive manicure, because I keep getting all these incredible glitters in my advent calendar. I went for a red again, but this time I threw some gold and black glitter over top and it turned out really pretty.

Carmen and I are heading to a little Christmas party at his Mom’s house tonight, so I thought I’d tell you guys what I decided to wear.
Sorry about the mirror selfie, I didn’t have anyone to take a photo of me.
I went with dark jeans, the peplum top I wore on my birthday and a red cardigan, which I think is very festive and classy.

Today’s Christmas movie was Happy Christmas which I found on Netflix. I picked it because Anna Kendrick is in it and I love her, but I found the movie to be odd and not very interesting. If you were thinking of giving that one a watch, I would say skip it.

Enjoy the rest of your night!
Until tomorrow,

Blogmas day 14! – A Christmas slumber party part 2!

Hello beautiful people!
Last night was such an incredible evening! It was so lovely getting to catch up with friends from college and enjoy their company.
My friend Rachel hosted it, and she went all out making her place look festive and wonderful!

We had a secret Santa that got slightly X-rated, but it was all in good fun.

There were a few shenanigans that may have involved a human pyramid, but aside from that it was a lovely night full of laughs, life talks, jokes and these wonderful ladies.
It’s night’s like last night that really make me appreciate the people I have in my life, and that even though we all live in different cities we all make an effort to see each other. Which to me is really what counts in a friendship, when no matter how much time goes by you still want to see those people, and these ladies are people I will always make an effort to see, because each of them is beautiful and amazing.

I got home early this afternoon and decided just to have a chilled out day, because we were up quite late last night!
But of course I opened my advent calendars!

I’m going to watch The Snowman as my Christmas movie tonight. I don’t know if a lot of people know this movie, it’s quite short and it’s narrated by David Bowie, other than that there’s no talking in the film. Let me know in the comments if you’ve seen this movie!

Sorry this is a short one!
I hope you all had a beautiful weekend,
Until tomorrow

Blogmas day 13! – A christmas Slumber Party!

Hello beautiful people!
I hope you had a wonderful Friday whatever you got up to!
Carmen and I went to the Toronto Christmas market in our distillery district. It was gorgeous, there were lights everywhere and a giant tree!
It was very crowded, lots of people bumping into me, long lines for food and other things. Aside from that it was fun and festive, I don’t do very well in big crowds so I had a bit of anxiety, but once we found somewhere to sit down and enjoy our treats I was okay.

Today I got a full sized kinder surprise in my advent calendar and a beautiful deep teal polish which is one of my favourite colours.

Tonight my roommates from college and I are all getting together for a Christmas slumber party!
I’m so excited to see all my girls and exchange secret Santa gifts and catch up!
I thought I’d show you guys what I was going to pack with me to stay in Hamilton.

Skincare obviously, hopefully I won’t have had too many drinks to wash my make-up off but just in case I’m bringing:
Simple wipes
Purity cleanser
Bioderma cleansing water
Origins high potency night-a-mins
Kiehl’s midnight recovery concentrate
Origins eye doctor eye cream
Origins gin-zing eye cream
Origins A perfect world moisturizer
My tooth brush & some tooth paste
Cotton rounds

I’m going to bring some cute pj’s obviously, and my outfit for the next day.

In terms of make-up I think I’m just going to bring mascara, because depending how my head is feeling in the morning I don’t think I’m going to need a full face of make-up for the drive home.

Before I leave I’m going to watch one of my favourite Christmas movies, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer! This has been one of my favourite’s since I was little!

I’ll try to take some pictures tonight to post for tomorrow so you can see what me and my girlfriends got up to, it will all depend how much fun we’re having and who is okay with being on my blog.

I hope you guys have a spectacular Saturday!
Until tomorrow my loves,
