CoverGirl Full Lash Bloom Mascara Review

Hello beautiful people!

I think Mascara is one of the things in my collection that I switch up the most, I mean, every brand has at least 4 mascara’s to choose from and they’re constantly bringing out new ones, which of course I always want to try!
So, recently I was wandering through my local Shoppers Drug Mart and saw the new Cover Girl display. Now, usually I don’t gravitate towards Cover Girl as a brand because I haven’t had the best luck with their products in the past, but I thought I’d give this new mascara a try!

The new Full Lash Bloom mascara ($7.99) is actually amazing! Not only is the packaging super cute and springy, the formulation is awesome! It’s definitely more of a day time mascara, as it doesn’t add a lot of volume.
This stuff separates my lashes and coats each individual lash with product, making them look full and long. You can definitely build it up to be a bit more voluminous, although I find it starts to clump the more you add.

I’ve worn this every day for about a week and I can’t say a bad thing about it, it stays in place with a tiny bit of flaking – like literally two flakes- after 10 hours of wearing it!
My only issue with this product is the wand, I’m really not a fan of the plastic wands as I find they tend to hurt my eyes, so I just have to make sure I’m being really careful when I’m applying the product to the base of my lashes. Other than that this mascara gets a huge thumb’s up from me!

Let me know if you’ve tried this and what you think of it!
Until next time my loves,

Ring Styling with!

Hello beautiful people!
It’s a habit of most people to plan or buy an outfit and then accessorize, but why can’t we do the opposite? Buy a fantastic accessory and plan an outfit around it. Whether you’re heading out for a party or heading to the grocery store – a gorgeous ring can add class and excitement to any outfit!

I’ve chosen rings from Invaluable, the world’s largest premier marketplace, to show you guys how I would style outfits based on rings from their site!
Invaluable has over 10,000 rings for their bidders to choose from for incredible prices. Not to mention all the other items they have from watches, to clothing to furniture!

I chose to style two outfits, one for everyday casual and one for evening, to show that rings can be the biggest impact of an outfit. After all, our hands are what we use to eat, talk, and drink – they are a focal point and we should show them off with amazing accessories!

First casual:
I myself am super partial to vintage jewelry, so when I saw this gorgeous sapphire flower ring I couldn’t resist. I think this is a perfect ring to wear every day and add a little something to your outfit.
I would pair this with black tights, ankle boots, a slouchy sweater, a small purse and a dark blue scarf to compliment the ring. People will not be able to stop looking at your hand while wearing a ring like this, and the outfit emphasized the unique style and colour.
Tights: Aritzia
Sweater: Urban Outfitters
Booties: Steve Madden
Scarf: Anthropologie
Bag: Aldo
Ring: Invaluable (Link above)

The ring I chose for my evening outfit definitely makes a statement. This ring is opal and mother of pearl in quite a large setting, which makes it the star of the show! I would keep my outfit relatively simple, pair this baby with a little black dress, a black purse and some nude heels to compliment the colours in the ring and let it dazzle from my hand!
Dress: Forever 21
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Purse: Tory Burch
Ring: Invaluable (Link above)

There you have it! Obviously everyone has different tastes and styles but that’s that great thing about Invaluable, they have something for everyone!

Until next time my loves,

Blogmas day 23! – A day of Christmas baking!

Hello beautiful people!
I can’t believe tomorrow is the final day of blogmas, which means there are only 2 days until Christmas! December has been such a wonderful month, full of lots of festive fun.
My calendar’s today:

This year I decided I would bake a few different things for our Christmas dessert, so I spent the day in the kitchen covered in icing sugar, flour and sprinkles.
I baked some rice krispie treats to take to Carmen’s moms tomorrow night. Since we spend Christmas eve with her, I thought it would be nice to bring a little something that we could all enjoy while we open gifts!

I made peanut butter ball’s at my sister Jen’s request. I wasn’t going to make them but she begged me, and honestly I didn’t need that much convincing, because they are heavenly.
Finally I made some sugar cookies since my family really seems to enjoy them!

It is surprising how many dishes need to be done after a day of baking! So now that the kitchen is clean I’m going to curl up and watch A Muppet Christmas Carol and fall asleep!

I hope you all had a beautiful evening and I’ll be back tomorrow for the final day of blogmas!
You guys are the best,

Blogmas day 22! – My Chroma Stationery!

Hello beautiful people!
I was watching one of Lily Pebbles vlog’s recently and saw these adorable notebooks that had her name on them. She had the name of the company in the description box so I headed over to Chroma’s website.
Chroma stationery is a UK-based company that creates personalized notebooks for its customers. You can choose the colour of your notebook, the font of the embossing, whether you want gold or silver and the kind of paper in your notebook, I think this an absolutely genius idea!
Not to mention, I was even more impressed to find out if was founded by a young woman named Gabi Cox in April of this year, just two months before she graduated University.

These notebooks are incredibly affordable at $12 or £7.50, and if you’re a blogger they’ll print your blog name or logo onto your books for you.
Since I don’t have a professional blog logo I just went with a beautiful font and gold lettering. I actually ordered two of them and got a really nice hand written letter in the envelope!

I’m so excited because, now I can use my blog notebook to write ideas for posts, and my personal one for grocery lists etc.
If you’re looking for a cute gift or, want something personal written on a notebook I would definitely suggest checking Chroma Stationery out, I couldn’t be more impressed!

Today’s advent haul:
And today’s Christmas movie is going to be National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation!

I hope you all have a beautiful Monday!
Until tomorrow,
