Make up Anti-Haul

Hello beautiful people, I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying the wonderful weather now that spring has finally sprung!

I noticed recently that some of my favourite YouTuber’s have been doing Make up Anti-Hauls (if you’re thinking Lo, what the heck is that?) allow me to explain. Basically an Anti-haul is where you talk about make up you AREN’T(that’s right) going to purchase and the reasons why, and lately there have been some launches that I just wasn’t interested in, so I thought this was the perfect time to write my first Anti-Haul post!

  • just a little disclaimer, these are just my reasons and opinions for not purchasing these products, if you love them and the work for you that’s amazing, these just aren’t my cup of tea. xx

make believe in yourself

First up we have the Tarte Make Believe in Yourself eyes and cheeks palette $52.00 CAD. Don’t get me wrong, this is a very pretty palette, I am very drawn to a couple of the shades, but for $52.00 I could buy a palette that has all the colours I love with a mix of shimmers and mattes. The formulation of this looks very sparkly, and there’s only 1 matte shade, so I feel like I would need to be using this along side some of my other shadows, which also makes me think this isn’t very travel friendly. I haven’t swatched this myself, but some of the reviews I’ve read mention that there’s quite a bit of fall out with this palette as well (something to think about) I just can’t see myself reaching for this, which is why I’m going to pass on this guy.

prismatic amethyst

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in prismatic Amethyst $46.00 CAD. People in the beauty community have been going nutso for this little guy, and to be honest, I’m just not into it. I LOVE the Becca shimmering Skin perfector’s, moonstone is a holy grail, but with this particular shade, I just can’t imagine where I would ever wear it. I know there are lots of ways I could use this, like as an eye shadow topper or a lip topper, but in my day to day that’s just not my style. I know the formulation of this is flawless, and the packaging is super cute, it’s just another one that I can’t see myself using.

natural love palette

Too Faced Natural Love Palette $69.00 CAD – I’m not going to lie, I want this – BUT I do not need another neutral palette in my life at the moment. This looks like a dream come true, not only because I love Too Faced as a brand, or because the packaging is heavenly, but because it has 30 gorgeous shades in it. I think the price is not bad for the number of shadow’s you’re getting, and the pan size looks decent, but again I do not need to spend the money on another neutral palette… I will say though… my birthday is in July.. for any of my close friends/family members reading this 🙂

too faced highlighters

Last up are the Too Faced Love Light highlighter $38.00 CAD again,I wanted these – look at the embossing on them!! and the packaging is absolutely adorable. unfortunately, when I went into the store to look at them, there just wasn’t a shade that I thought suited my skin tone. The palest one is very cool toned and frosty, the gold is very gold and the champagne is a little too pink, none of them were the perfect fit. The formulation is gorgeous and silky, and will give you an incredible glow! I just decided to pass on these, which took a lot of will power.

Let me know in the comments if there are any items you’ve passed up on recently!

That’s all for now my loves,

until next time, xoxo

Soft and Romantic Make Up Look!

Hello beautiful people!

I hope you all had wonderful weekend’s, and that you’re spending this lovely Sunday relaxing!

Today I thought I’d share a make up look that I’ve been wearing A LOT lately.
Now, I love a winged eye and fake lashes as much as the next girl, it’s such an edgy and sexy look, but sometimes I really love wearing this kind of buffed out, soft and romantic look that makes me feel super pretty and feminine.

dscn3722

This is a look I really love to wear when I want to feel super girly and really just enhance my natural features. My sister refers to this as “looking like a Fairy” whenever I do this look for her, because it’s just soft and sparkly and really beautiful.
I also figured that Valentine’s Day is coming up, and this would be a great look to wear out with your partner, or on a first date or even if you’re just hanging with your girlfriends ( or really just anytime, because it is so gorgeous).

dscn3712

dscn3687For my Complexion I used:
– Becca blacklight Priming Filter to give my skin that radiant “lit from within” look. (This is just a sample but I love it and will definitely be picking up the full size)
– My trusty Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation in the shade 0.5
– Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in the shade 1 Fair for blemishes and redness
– My holy grail Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in the shade fair/neutral for under the eyes
– L’Oréal Infallable pro-matte powder through my t-zone to prevent shine
All of these products together make my skin look healthy and glowing without looking like I have a tonne of make up on.

dscn3691For brow’s I used:
– Benefit Ka-brow in number 2 to create my something from nothing eyebrows
– Benefit Gimme Brow in the shade light to define the hairs that are there and all a bit of volume
These babies have changed my brow game hard! Benefit has really upped their brow products and I am so impressed.

dscn3690To bring a bit of life to my face I used:
– Burberry Earthy Blush in the shade Light Glow to contour my cheekbones
– Charlotte Tilbury Film Star Bronze and Glow in the shade light to add some warmth and glow to my skin
– Clinique blush in Peach Pop on the apples of my cheeks to add a girly and healthy pink flush to my skin

dscn3696dscn3700For my eyes I used:

– Urban Decay Primer Potion to prep my lids
– Urban Decay & Gwen Stefani eye shadow Palette
(Swatches from left to right : Pop, Bath Water, Steady, Anaheim, Zone and Punk)
I used steady all over the lid, with Anaheim and Zone buffed into the crease, outer corner and under my eyes. I patted a bit of Pop into the center of the eyelid to add a bit of glitter, and I used Bathwater to highlight the brow bone and inner corners of my eyes. Finally, I used Punk along my lash line to make my lashes look thick and add a bit of definition.
– For mascara I used Maybelline Lash Sensational and of course my Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara

dscn3704dscn3707Finally for lips I used:
– Bite Beauty High Pigment Lip Pencil in the shade Sable which is a really pretty rosey pink shade

dscn3710dscn3719

The finished look!! I love wearing this so much!

Let me know in the comments what kind of look you love to wear to feel pretty and girly.

That’s all for now my loves,
Until next time, xoxo

Skin Care Empties

Hello beautiful people! and Happy New Year!

I cannot believe how quickly 2o16 flew by! It was a wonderful year, I had some up’s and down’s but I think they made me a stronger, and wiser person.

I’m hoping 2017 is going to be an incredible year! Carmen and I are looking to buy our first home and I have a few resolutions I’m trying my hardest to keep (4 days in – so far so good) which include blogging A LOT more – so I think 2017 will be full of lovely memories and lovely people.

I have a problem with hoarding products (I’m sure I’m not the only beauty junkie out there with this issue.. right?) but when Carmen and I decided to start looking for a home, obviously we sat down and crunched some numbers, and I have to say, I spend a bit too much money on beauty products – hair care, skin care, make up, etc. So, I promised myself I would use up all the products I have before buying anything new.
Let me tell you, this is not an easy thing to do when all these beautiful new products are launching, or I’m wandering through shoppers drug mart and see something I’ve never tried before, but I’m doing my best and managed to get through some of the things in my collection.

dscn3674

The Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel ($51.00 CAD)
This has got to be one of the nicest cleansers I have ever used on my skin.
It doesn’t foam up like a cream cleanser does, it just suds up a tiny bit and leaves my skin feeling super fresh, without being stripped or tight.
I use this with my Clarisonic at night for a deeper cleanse, and I use it in the morning just with my hands for a gentle and lovely refresh.
This product is quite expensive for a cleanser, but you only need a pea sized amount for your entire face! To be completely honest, my skin has never looked as clear and decongested as it did when I was using this. Once I use up my other cleansers I am definitely repurchasing this baby.

dscn3678

Origins Modern Friction ($50.00 CAD)
This is probably one of the first exfoliators I ever purchased, the formula is gentle but very effective. It uses Rice Starch to get the dead skin and grime off the skin, and is infused with lemon oil to leave your skin looking fresh and illuminated.
It smells absolutely amazing, and has quite a thick and sticky consistency which means you only need a little bit. I use this on my skin while it’s dry to get a bit of a deeper exfoliation, and then wet my hands and massage it into a creamy lather before rinsing it off.
One thing I do not like about this product is that it hurts like a b if you get it in your eye so be extra careful!

dscn3677

Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Skin Brightening Exfoliator ($36.00 CAD)
Apparently I have a real thing for scrubs!
This product is meant to brighten the skin and make pores look smaller. To be honest, I can’t say I notice a massive difference using this or the Origins one, aside from the consistency of this is less thick and more gel like, so if you’re looking for something slightly less expensive I would go for this one. It uses White Bark Extract to promote collagen turn over in the skin, as well as peony extract to brighten and leave your skin feeling hydrated and fresh.
Especially now that the weather is colder, and we’ve all finished binging on sweets and delicious holiday food, I definitely think my skin could use a pick me up and I will for sure be repurchasing this one.

dscn3676

Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist ($42.00CAD)
Honestly, I was incredibly disappointed with this mist. It smells aggressively like roses, which I probably should have expected, but my sister kept making a joke that my face smelled like a grandma. I also really didn’t notice any kind of change in my skin, it’s said to balance, hydrate and condition the skin for your other skin care products, but I didn’t notice any of that aside from MAYBE a bit of hydration. I used the whole bottle because I paid for it, but I don’t think I’ll be picking this up again, I much prefer my Saje Natural Wellness Skin Fitness Toner which is only $20.00.

dscn3681

Origins Eye Doctor Eye Cream ($44.00CAD)
The price of these seems high, but this little bottle lasted me over a year! As far as eye creams go, I don’t think you can get much better than this little guy. It smells like cucumbers, has a lovely creamy consistency that doesn’t leave your under eye area looking like a greasy mess, sits beautifully under make up and hydrates like a dream.
In winter my eyes water like crazy, and I tend to get really dry in the outer corners which is so annoying, but after discovering Eye Doctor, I no longer suffer with that issue. If you have dry skin around your eyes, or are generally just looking for something luxurious for such a sensitive area of the face I would 100% suggest picking this up, or getting a sample from your local Sephora.

dscn3675

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate($54.00CAD)
I have definitely rambled about this before so I won’t stay here too long. BASICALLY, this is the loveliest oil ever. It smells absolutely divine and leaves my skin feeling nourished, brightened and healthy. This was my second bottle, and you better believe I’ll be buying my third! I ran out of this mid-December and I’ve already noticed my skin changing without it – my complexion is already looking a little uneven and dull which tells you how effective this stuff is.

That’s all for now my loves, I hope 2017 is being kind to you so far.
Until next time,
xoxo

Product’s I’m loving at the moment!

Hello beautiful people!

I am so sorry that it has been so long since I’ve written a new post, but if I’m being completely honest, I just sort of lost the motivation to blog. I’m sure this happens to a lot of us, and I’m happy that I took the time for myself to find my drive to blog again!

For my first post back, I thought I’d like to share all the products I haven’t been able to stop reaching for over the last couple of months!

First up is the Tartelette In Bloom Palette ($54.00 CAD)

dscn3662

This palette is absolutely divine. I wasn’t drawn to the original all Matte Tartelette Palette, but when they brought this baby out, I couldn’t resist.
You get 12 Shadows, 9 are matte and 3 are shimmery, with quite large pans which makes the value seem better. The formulation on both kinds of shadows is so buttery and velvety, it feels like you’re touching silk. These blend out with almost no effort, and the variety of gorgeous warm toned shades allows you to create any kind of look you could want.
My sister and I were in Europe for 3 weeks this summer, and this is the only eye shadow palette I took with me! I was able to do really fast and easy looks in 5 minutes for day time, and create really beautiful smokey eyes if I had a little bit more time in the evening – this literally does it all.
( The swatches look slightly patchy, but trust me they aren’t! I had just moisturized my arms lol )
dscn3663
dscn3667

dscn3670

Next is the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection face palette ($59.00 CAD)

dscn3637dscn3639

I don’t think I have ever been more excited about a face palette than I was to get my hands on this. This comes with 2 blushes, a bronzer and 2 highlighters, and each and every one of them is like a dream in a pan.
Becca makes my favourite highlighters, so when I saw this I knew instantly I would love it, and I was not disappointed. the blushes are SO pigmented, you literally need one dab of your brush in the product and it’s enough for both cheeks.
The shimmery pink on the left reminds me a lot of NARS orgasm with it’s beautiful gold shimmer running through. The matte pink is beautiful for summer time, when you want a really pretty flush to the cheeks. to be honest, the bronzer is a little dark for my ghostly complexion, but I have used it as a blush (using an extremely light hand) and thought it looked really lovely.
THE HIGHLIGHTERS THOUGH – You get champagne pop! in here, which I’ve raved about before, which just adds the most amazing peachy glow to the high points of the face.
but Prosecco Pop, my goodness, is the most stunning pale gold highlight I have ever seen. Whenever I wear this, I get compliments on my skin, it may be my new favourite highlighter of all time. They need to bring prosecco pop out on its own, because it’s that incredible.
You could also use this palette for the eyes if you wanted, so if you were traveling this is literally all you would need!

being the vampire that I am, I literally have no eyebrows because my hairs are so pale, so I started getting them tinted at the Sephora Brow Bar (makes a huge difference) After one of my services, the lovely girl used their new Ka-Brow  cream gel eyebrow colour ($30.00 CAD) on me, and I instantly fell in love.

dscn3653dscn3655

If you’ve been following Laauraborealis for a while, you know I swore by Anastasia Dip Brow to create something from nothing for my brows, but this baby has definitely taken the MVP spot!
The lid of the product actually comes with a brush built into it, so you don’t need to fuss with your own angled brush which I really like, and the product itself has the coolest formulation. Dip brow is a pomade, so it feels quite thick and sticky, but this stuff is a gel/powder formula, so it goes on almost like a soft gel, dries down quickly to a powder and literally doesn’t budge all day! This is another product I took to Europe with me, and it withstood the sweaty French Sun everyday for a week. Literally, the rest of my make up would melt off, and my brows would still be perfect.

Vaseline Cocoa Butter Lip Therapy (£2.00 GBP)

dscn3652

I picked this up from Boots while we were in London and I wish I had bought 5 more since we can’t get it in Canada. This keeps my lips hydrated for HOURS! I put this on before bed, and I wake up with lovely soft lips. It smells delicious, and just works wonders. This is definitely going to be in my purse throughout the cold winter months.

Tanya Burr Matte Nail polish in Soft Pyjamas (£4.99 GBP)

dscn3644

Something else I picked up in Boots while we were in London was this lovely nail polish by my all time favourite Youtuber (something we also don’t get here in Canada, and feelunique.com wont ship nail polish over seas). I have a few other shades that aren’t matte, but this one stood out the most to me. The formula dries down super quick, and even without a top coat this polish goes DAYS without chipping. Soft Pyjamas is a beautiful taupey-grey-violet colour that’s just perfect for fall/winter, Im definitely going to be wearing this a lot in the coming months. If you live in the UK and can get your hands on these easily, I would highly suggest giving them a try!

L’oreal Glam Bronze ($10.99 CAD)

dscn3646
dscn3647dscn3650

I have been using this non-stop (as you can see I’ve already hit pan). This bronzer gives the most gorgeous and natural warmth to the skin! the formula is super silky and blends onto your face/neck/chest like a dream. It is shimmery, but not like chunky glitter, it’s the prettiest natural shimmer that just makes your skin look radiant and healthy.
This is another product where I got so many compliments on my skin.
Being very pale, I was worried this would come off slightly orange, but it doesn’t at all, it’s that perfect sort of muddy brown you want in a natural bronzer.
Also just a shout out to the pan size, this thing is massive! well worth the price. I seriously hope this wasn’t limited edition for summer.

Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise cream shadow in Jean ($36.00 CAD)

dscn3656

dscn3658

Holy moly, Charlotte Tilbury is a goddess. This is the best cream shadow I have ever used! It’s a beautiful champagne shade that can be worn on it’s own, or with shadow layered over top – this is probably the most universal shade, which would look stunning on any skin tone.
These are super pigmented, and a little goes a LONG way because the formula is almost whipped as opposed to other cream shadows that are quite hard.
If you wear this on it’s own, it dries down and doesn’t move at all, and if you layer shadow on top, you can bet that isn’t budging all day/night long.
You get 7ml of product, which will last you a very long time, just make sure you shut the lid tight, because this is quite expensive and you don’t want this magic drying out.

Last up is the Maybelline The Rocket Volum Express Mascara ($7.99 CAD)

dscn3659

Again, if you’ve been following my blog for a while you know CoverGirl Full lash bloom mascara has been my go-to from the drug store, but as all make up addicts do, I got an itch to try out a new product.
This is a really lovely mascara, the wand is plastic which I’m usually not a fan of, but it’s not too sharp, so I’ve managed not to stab myself in the eye with it (yet).
Despite the fact that I didn’t buy the waterproof formula, this baby acts like a waterproof mascara. This literally doesn’t flake, print onto my top lid or underneath the bottom lashes, it’s just awesome. It gives my lashes a really beautiful amount of volume without being too clumpy or spidery, and it doesn’t dry hard or crunchy like some intense mascaras can.
The only thing is, since the formula is so strong, it is quite difficult to remove. I have to use a waterproof eye make up remover, even though this isn’t technically a waterproof mascara.

That’s all for now my loves, but don’t worry, I wont wait so long to post again.

Until next time,

xoxo

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Foundation Review

Hello beautiful people!
I hope you’re all enjoying the summer so far! It has been crazy hot here in Toronto! I have to say though, it’s better than the cold we had for far too long this winter.

Speaking of hot and sticky weather, I thought I’d write today’s post about the Tarte Rainforest of the sea Water Foundation ($47.00CAD), because it’s the perfect base for summer. I know this has been out for a couple of months, but I still thought it would be worth a review, especially because of how hot and humid it’s getting, and we don’t necessarily want to be wearing heavy, full coverage foundations. Let’s get to it, shall we?

DSCN2631First off, can we please take in how stunning this packaging is?! Tarte really out did themselves with this launch; the ombre effect on the lid is absolutely divine and eye catching.
The bottle says it’s a “Water foundation” and as someone who has combination skin, I was slightly skeptical about the way this was going to sit on my skin, some of the foundations I’ve tried with thinner consistencies just tend to slide around on my face.
Luckily, that was not the case with this product! It does have a very watery consistency, but it dries down demi-matte and doesn’t budge!

DSCN2635The dropper applicator is super cool because it doesn’t allow you to drop too much product onto the back of your hand/into your brush. Personally I prefer to apply this foundation with a dampened beauty blender, because it really allows me to press the product into my skin, whereas a brush sort of just streaks it across my face.

DSCN2637
I have the shade Fair Neutral, which was slightly too dark for me when I bought it, but now that I’ve caught some sun it’s absolutely perfect.
This is very long lasting, but does get a little bit shiny when I’ve been out in the heat for a long time, but that can be easily remedied with a little bit of powder or some blotting tissues. It’s got a medium coverage, but I definitely think it’s buildable to full, although medium is just enough coverage for me for the summer months.
This also works well mixed in with your daily moisturizer if you’re looking for more of a sheer BB cream kind of effect.
If you’re looking for a new foundation for summer, or just in general, I would definitely say give this baby a try! Or even go into your local Sephora and ask for a sample, I promise you wont be disappointed!

Until next time my loves,
xoxo

March 2016 Favourites!

Hello beautiful people!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend and no one has pranked you too hard today!

It’s time for another monthly favourites post! I haven’t written one of these in ages, so I have quite a few beauty/skincare/random favourites to share.

I’ll start with skincare as I’ve really been having quite a difficult time with my skin this winter. I don’t know if it’s because of the weather, or that I’m getting older or what but it’s really been getting me down! I’ve had a lot of annoying breakouts, some random redness and lots of little dry patches, which makes all my foundations look awful on my skin. Finally in the passed couple of months I’ve found a few products that seem to helping the situation!

The Clinique take the day off cleansing balm ($36CAD) is what I’ve been using as step one in my skin care routine lately, and I’ve really been loving it (as you can see by the crater I’ve dug out of the middle). It’s the consistency of wax, but when you rub it in your palms, it kind of warms up and melts to turn into this really nourishing oil that melts away all your make up!
I like to massage this onto my skin for about a minute to make sure I’m really getting all that make up off, and then I’ll wet my hands and it kind of emulsifies into this lovely milk, which then cleanses the skin without stripping it at all. I love my micellar waters, but can find them to be a bit drying, so this has been working wonders for me as it doesn’t dry out my skin at all! a little goes a long way as well, so this tub should last me another 3 months or so!

Another skin care saviour I’ve been loving is the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant ($74CAD). This is quite pricey, but may very well be the nicest thing in my skin care collection. As you can see from the photo (which looks slightly like drugs) it comes in a powder form, which you then add water too and create this lovely and gentle exfoliant that you can use every day. I’ve been using this at night after my cleansing balm to help get rid of any debris, dry skin or extra make up, and let me tell you my skin feels incredible! This is formulated with rice protein which helps to get rid of dead skin and promote cell turn over for a more radiant and smooth complexion!
This is also a bit of a 3-in-1 product, the girl at the store told me you can add a lot of water for a more gentle exfoliant to brighten the skin and gently cleanse, or you can use a little bit of water for a rougher more physical exfoliant 3 times a week, or you can add a little bit of water and leave it on as a 5 minute mini mask! If you ask me, I think for that many options it’s well worth the price.

Last but not least in my skin care favourites is the Kiehl’s Hydro-plumping re-texturizing skin serum concentrate ($60CAD). This serum literally feels like you’re rubbing water into your skin, it’s so light but so hydrating at the same time. Usually things that hydrate feel really thick and sticky on the skin, but this just sinks right in and gives my skin the drink of water it’s really been needing, and I’ve definitely noticed less dry spots on my face. This stuff is also meant to plump the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, but I’ve only been using it about 2 weeks so I’ll have to see about that!

On to make up favourites!

This is a fairly new purchase for me, but I absolutely love it. The By Terry touch expert advanced ultra-radiance active concealer ($59CAD) in the shade 1 is the absolute perfect concealer for getting rid of dark circles. This is very expensive, but Toronto just got Saks Fifth Ave, and they had a By Terry counter and I just couldn’t resist (sorry not sorry). I got this kind of bisque shade because I wanted a little extra something to cover up my dark circles, and this literally makes them disappear – if I’m being honest, my under eye circles are not that bad, but this stuff just makes them non-existent and makes me feel super awake and fresh! It has similar packaging to the YSL Touche Eclat pen with the little pump on the bottom that forces the product up and into the brush, which I think is really classy and lovely. The product itself smells really fresh and clean, and blends into the skin like a dream! A little goes a long way with this stuff as well so you can get your moneys worth!

I wasn’t a huge fan of the first Tartelette palette, but when I saw the new Tartelette In Bloom palette ($54CAD) I absolutely had to have it! The shades in this are a mix of shimmer, glitter and mattes, with nice warm neutral shades. I was really feeling the matte shades in this palette throughout March, I’m not usually one to wear an all matte look, but the formulation of these shadows just blends like butter so they look really soft and lovely on the lid. If you’re looking for a new palette I would definitely suggest giving this baby try!

Last but not least is the Kat Von D everlasting liquid lipstick in the shade Bow n Arrow ($24CAD). I wore this non-stop in March, it’s just the perfect bold lip to transition into spring without being too red or berry toned. It dries down to this beautiful ashy, burnt rose colour which I absolutely adore! It lasts all day long, through eating and drinking, and it doesn’t dry out your lips at all! If you haven’t given her liquid lipsticks a try I would highly recommend any of the shades because the formula is spot on!

My final March favourite is actually a TV show that I literally binge watched through February and March because I just couldn’t get enough! Parks and Rec is probably one of the funniest TV shows I’ve watched in a long time, it stars Amy Poehler, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Aziz Ansari and a bunch of other amazing actors/actresses who just work so well together. It’s about a group of people who work in the Parks Department in this tiny town in Indiana and it just catalogues their day to day activities, which sounds boring but is actually amazing! If you watched the office, or are a fan of any of the actors I mentioned I think you could get into Parks and Rec!

That’s it for now my loves!
Until next time,
xoxo

Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation Review

Hello beautiful people!
Happy Sunday! I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend.

I was paroozing my local drug store a couple of weeks ago, when I came across a Maybelline display with their new Dream Velvet Soft-matte hydrating foundation ($12.99CAD).
This really intrigued me because you normally don’t see matte and hydrating together on the same product, so I figured I’d better give it a whirl!

DSCN2539

I picked up the shade 05 Warm Porcelain (which I believe is the palest one on the collection) and it’s a decent match for me, maybe slightly too dark but as long as I blend it down my neck you can’t tell. The range has a lot of different shades, so if you’re not super pale like me you should be able to find a good match!
This has a surprisingly thick formulation, so you only need a tiny amount for your whole face, and the coverage is a really nice medium to full which can be nice during the winter months while we’re all trying to finish eating our Christmas chocolates! (hopefully it’s not just me!)
Despite it’s thickness, it actually feels really light and fresh on the skin because it’s almost a whipped texture, which allows it to blend beautifully onto your face.
“Soft-Matte” is the perfect description of this foundation, it’s definitely not dewy or glowy at all, but it’s not completely cakey and matte either, it leaves your skin looking natural and healthy without drying it out at all.
The longevity of this stuff is really nice too, I’ve worn it for a full 7-8 hours before without having it break up or rub off, and only having to powder once. I did find that after a really long day (10+ hours) it started to break up in my t-zone a bit, which could be due to my combination skin.
All and all I’ve really been enjoying this baby! If you’ve been thinking of trying this, or you’re just looking for a new base, I would definitely suggest giving this a try!

Until next time my loves,
xoxo
