Hello beautiful people!
I know I’m a few days late with this post, but I figured less than a week into May was probably fine! I honestly cannot believe it’s already May! It feels like only a few weeks ago we still had snow here in Toronto.. Oh wait… we did!
Anyways, onto my April favourites! I actually picked up a lot of new things throughout April, so I’m really excited to share them with you guys!
First is a product that was actually incredibly difficult to get my hands on, so when I saw it on the shelf in my local shoppers after weeks of trying to find it, I absolutely had to grab it! The simple micellar cleansing water ($11) has been my go-to product to remove my make up at the end of the day. It’s so gentle on the skin but yet it’s so effective at removing every speck of make-up from your face, it has no scent either which is really nice. I’ve been using this over my bio-derma every day, because they are seriously comparable, and the simple cleansing water is a fraction of the price of bio-derma.
Next up is actually a candle! The bath and body works cinnamon sugared donut ($12.50) candle is the perfect scent to transition from winter to spring! It’s sweet and a little bit spicy; it just makes a room smell inviting and yummy! If you haven’t smelled this, you need to!
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know how much I love Marc Jacobs fragrances, but when I sprayed Jo Malone blackberry and bay onto my skin I fell in love. I only bought the small one ($70) A. because it’s less expensive and B. because it’ll fit in my purse and I want to take this everywhere with me! It smells fresh and floral, but there’s also quite a lot of depth to it, which is unlike any fragrance I own! Wearing this scent makes me feel sexy and sophisticated! Plus it’s just a gorgeous bottle!
I’ve mention blogilates on my blog before, but I recently noticed that she actually sells blogilates products on her website, so I picked myself up the cutest water bottle! ($18) It has section for frozen fruit so you can flavour your water, but it also has little lines and times on the back so you can track how much water you’re drinking in a day! I thought that was absolutely brilliant, and extremely effective, I’m staying much more hydrated with this baby in my life. I also love what it says on the front! “Dream it, Do it!”
I mentioned this next product in one of my recent blog posts, so I won’t go on about it for too long. The Hourglass Ambient Bronzer ($60) is the most amazing bronzer I’ve ever used and well worth the price. This bronzer adds the most beautiful and warm glow to my pale skin without it looking too orange! If you’re looking for a product to indulge on, I would highly suggest this one!
Next is the Giorgio Armani eye tint in the shade Cold Copper ($39) another expensive product that I believe is well worth the money, this goes on so easily with the doe-foot applicator and gives you enough time to blend it out before it sets like a tattoo; this stuff literally does not budge. The shade I got is a taupey-coppery shade that looks gorgeous on its own, but also looks great with shadows layered over top!
Last is the partner to something I mentioned in my Sephora sale haul, the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless foundation in the shade 0.5 ($45), oh yea, that’s right, it’s not even shade number 1! The colour is the perfect match for me. It has a medium coverage, which I’m loving at the moment because you can see my freckles through it, but it still evens out the skin tone nicely. I would say it’s more of a natural-matte finish than a full blown radiant foundation, but after a couple of hours on my combo skin, it develops a nice glow without looking too oily. This foundation has quite a watery consistency, so you really have to shake it up before you use it, and I would suggest applying it straight to a brush as opposed to the back of your hand! I would 100% recommend this if you’re looking for a new foundation for spring!
That’s all for now my loves! Feel free to leave me a comment, I always love hearing from you!
until next time,
