Laura Mercier Holiday Set Review

Hello beautiful people!
I hope you’ve all had a wonderful week, I got home from my trip to Texas on Saturday and spent the last couple of days catching up with friends and family.
I had a lovely week in San Antonio with my mom, we really couldn’t have had better weather, everyday was in the high 20’s and very sunny which was a nice change to the colder weather here in Canada, but I was very happy to come home to beautiful changing leaves and cooler temperatures.

Before I left I did some shopping and realized it’s officially the time of year when all the amazing holiday sets come out, so when I went into Sephora of course I couldn’t stop myself from leaving with this one.

The Laura Mercier set of mini caviar stick cream eye shadows is so beautiful, you get 4 minis in pretty neutral colours with three that are shimmery and one that’s matte.
When I swatched these in the store I knew I had to have them, they’re super creamy with great pigmentation and they blend like a dream. You can definitely wear them on their own, or layer a shadow on top for a more intense look.
I took these to Texas with me and wore them almost every day because they don’t budge, even in the heat I only had a tiny bit of creasing at the end of a 12 hour day.
The set is $46 dollars but a $72 dollar value, and unlike most gift sets you can buy all of these in full size if there’s a colour you love the most, not a single one is limited edition.

I also think if you’re looking for a gift for someone who is either a beginner with make up or a pro this would be a beautiful idea, or you could use them as stocking stuffers of even break them up and give them to 4 individual people as an add on. Set’s like this are so incredible for their versatility, not to mention the great price point and exceptionally quality of the product. I am over the moon for these little guys and will definitely be buying the full size of a couple of the shades, I would highly recommend taking a look at this set because it is incredible.

Don’t forget to hit all the good buttons and leave me a comment because I love to hear from you guys, and I did a little bit of shopping in Texas so if you’d like to see a haul let me know!
Until next time my loves,
xoxo

My first Inglot palette!

Hello beautiful people!
I hope you all had a beautiful weekend and a happy thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians, hopefully you all enjoyed good food & some family time!

A few months ago Inglot cosmetics opened a location here in Toronto and last week I finally got a chance to go downtown and see what it was all about. The people in the store were super friendly and helpful and explained how their products and palette system worked.
The freedom system at inglot allows you to customize a palette whether it’s a quad of eye shadows or three shadows and two blushes, they have a wide variety of sizes for any kind of palette you’d want to try out and the prices are exceptional.
I went for the five shadow palette and I’m so unbelievably impressed with the quality of these babies!

They’re so buttery and soft but the pigmentation is insane! Not to mention they last literally all day with a lid primer, no creasing, no smudging – nothing. I’m still trying to wrap my mind around the quality versus the price, the palette itself is $12.00 and then the shadows are 10$ each, so with tax I paid $70.06 for five shadows that are amazing quality and the pan size is much larger than that of mac or any other brand I’ve encountered.
With these a little goes a long way, one swirl if my brush covers one whole lid so it’s not like I’m going back for a seconds and thirds which is always a great thing to have in a shadow.
On to the colours, I picked two matte shades and three shimmery shades, unfortunately inglot doesn’t name their shadows so they’re just numbers! From left to right, 390,11,154,153,329.

I did go for quite neutral colours but that’s just because I get to most use out of these kinds of shades for everyday wear, but since they’re so amazing I’ll definitely go back and get a few more shades to play around with.

If you have an inglot near you or you live in Toronto and you haven’t checked it out yet I would definitely suggest going because these really are some of the best shadows I’ve ever used in terms of formulation and staying power.
That’s my little review of my first inglot palette, let me know if you’ve tried some of these and what you think!
don’t forget to hit the good buttons and let me know what kind of post you’d like to see next.
until next time my loves,
xoxo

Little LUSH haul!

Hello beautiful people!
Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve posted, I’ve just been quite a busy lady!
A small life update for you: I’ve officially completed my contract as a gardener for the season which means I’ll have the winter to relax and enjoy the holidays. I’m also heading to San Antonio Texas with my mom next Sunday (the 19th of October) for a week for a little mother daughter get away, which I am super pumped about! If you’re from Texas or know any good places we should check out please feel free to leave me a comment – I’d love to hear your recommendations!

Since the weather is really starting to get cold here in Toronto I’ve been taking a lot of baths! This of course warranted a trip to LUSH, since I ran out of all my other goodies, and I wanted to pick up some of my favourites and some things I’ve never tried before.

The first thing I had to pick up was my all-time favourite bath bomb called butterball ($4.95). This is not an exceptional bath bomb in terms of colour or excitement but it honestly leaves your skin feeling so soft and nourished as it’s enriched with cocoa butter. It has a very relaxing and soft smell with a tiny hint of vanilla and flowers, I love popping this in the bath when I’ve had a really long day and just want to relax and read a book for half an hour or so, if you’ve never tried this you absolutely should because your skin will thank you especially going into winter!

I also picked up two bath bombs I’d never tried before the first one is called honey bee ($6.45) which is quite a large bath bomb and its yellow and brown so I’m curious to see what the bath water is going to look like! This smells quite sweet with a little hint of honey. It’s supposed to be soothing and cleansing which will be nice since it has honey, aloe and rhassoul mud in it. If you’ve tried this let me know how it is!

The next bath bomb I picked up is super cute! This little baby blue robot ($3.95) is meant to be for children to help sooth them before bed but I just couldn’t leave it there because it’s adorable and it smells divine! It’s got lavender and chamomile so it’s super relaxing and will help you let go of the day’s tension before bed, it’s also just amazing because it’s a robot!

Last I picked up this MASSIVE bubble bar called the comforter ($10.95) which smells super fruity and amazing. It’s a magenta colour and smells like black currants, very rich and sweet which will make my bathroom smell lovely. Since you don’t need to use a whole bubble bar at a time I think this one is going to last me quite a few baths because it’s so large!

That’s my little lush haul! I hope you enjoyed it & please let me know if you’ve tried any of these or you have any bath products I should try out!
Until next time my loves,
xoxo
