This or that TAG!

Hello beautiful people! I saw this tag on Glitter Pots and Lip gloss’s page and thought it was a fun idea so here it goes! Don’t forget to go and read Hollie’s post as well because her blog is awesome!
Also I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who entered my Luvocracy giveaway, I wish you all lots of luck! it is officially closed now and the winner will be notified via e-mail by luvocracy so keep your eyes on your inbox on April 1st!

Blush or Bronzer – Blush without a doubt! Some of my favourites are NARS seduction and MAC pink swoon!
Lip gloss or Lipstick- this is a hard one! Probably lipstick as it can really complete a look. My current favourite is MAC Cosmo
Eye liner or Mascara- Mascara, I have really blonde eye lashes and just look sickly without it. I’m loving the Revlon lash potion mascara at the moment.
Foundation or Concealer- Foundation, there’s nothing better than a nice even skin tone!
Neutral or Colour eye shadow- Neutral, because they’re so versatile. You can still achieve a smokey eye with neutrals, or keep it really natural as well. The Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay is my favourite for neutrals.
Pressed or Loose eye shadows- pressed 100%, I’m quite clumsy and know that loose eye shadow would end up everywhere but my eye lid.
Brushes or Sponges- Brushes!

OPI or China Glaze- OPI, I find China Glaze chips really easily. My current OPI favourite is ‘My vampire is buff’ a really beautiful peachy nude colour which is perfect for spring time.
Long or Short- I suppose short, long nails can become irritating.
Acrylic or Natural- Natural! I paint my nails really frequently; I always end up getting sick of acrylics too quickly so it’s not worth the money to spend.
Brights or Darks- it really depends on the season! At the moment I would say brights because spring is on its way.
Flower or No flower- No flower, I prefer just a nice clean look.

Perfume or Body splash- perfume! Marc jacobs Daisy to be specific.
Lotion or Body butter-Lotion – The L’occitane ones are divine.
Body wash or Soap- Body wash, I find it leaves my skin feeling the softest.
Lush or Other bath company- Lush! Their products are the best hands down.

Jeans or Sweat pants- Jeans
Long sleeve or Short- short sleeves
Dresses or Skirts- Dresses, that’s all I wear in spring and summer.
Stripes or Plaid- Stripes
Flip flops or Sandals- Sandals
Scarves or Hats- Scarves! I love to layer and scarves are the best way to complete an outfit.
Studs or Dangly earrings- studs, I wear the same earrings pretty much every day.
Necklaces or Bracelets- Bracelets, I think they add elegance to a look.
Heels or Flats- even though I have quite a large collection of heels I have to say flats due to their practicality.
Cowboy boots or Riding boots- Riding boots.
Jacket or Hoodie- Jacket
Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe- Forever 21.
Abercombie or Hollister- Neither.
Saks 5th or Nordstrom- I’m Canadian, we don’t have these in my country yet! Although my local mall is getting a Nordstrom soon

Curly or Straight- straight
Bun or Ponytail- Bun – I don’t think ponytails suit me.
Bobby pins or Butterfly clips– Bobby pins!
Hair spray or Gel- Hair spray, gel gets too crispy.
Long or Short- long
Light or Dark- Dark, even though my hair is quite a bright red.
Side sweep bangs or Full bangs- side bangs, not a fan of full bangs.
Up or Down- it really depends on my outfit but usually it’s down.

Rain or Shine- Shine!
Summer or Winter- Summer, winter in Canada this year has been brutal and I’m over it.
Fall or Spring- Spring, it’s when all the flowers bloom.
Chocolate or Vanilla- Chocolate, but it has to be good chocolate, none of that dollar store stuff.

I hope you all enjoyed my this or that tag! leave me a comment down below letting me know what some of you this or that’s are! don’t forget to hit the like and the follow button

Spring has sprung! Luvocracy Collection and GIVEAWAY!

Hello beautiful people!

So I have some very excited news! In honor of spring being upon us I’ve paired with Luvocracy to do a little giveaway for my wonderful readers.
(All the details will be at the end of the post)
Not sure what Luvocracy is? No problem! It’s a website where you can search beauty products, fashion, jewelry, home décor – pretty much anything, and within your profile you can make collections themed with the things that you love or want i.e “beauty” or “wishlist”, your collections are public and other people can “luv” the products you do as well! One of the best things about Luvocracy is that you can actually purchase most of the items that are shown on the site, so instead of searching on the internet to find that nail polish or lip gloss you wanted, you can get it right from Luvocracy!

I’ve created a Luvocracy collection of all of my must haves for spring!

Steve Madden Thunder-c boot
These are adorable for spring time, the brown leather really adds a more gentle look to your outfit and the eyelet lace adds just a little touch of femininity to the combat look.

Rebecca Minkoff mini M.A.C
My best friend Amber bought me one of these for Christmas this year and I’ve just been itching to use it! They’re such a good size as you don’t need a huge purse to put hats or mittens in anymore, just something nice to hold your wallet, sunglasses and maybe a lip gloss or two. Her bags also come in the most incredible colours for spring!

Kate Spade bow earrings
I just think bows are the best thing ever, they can add a certain quirkiness to any outfit and these earrings are perfect to do just that! They’re not overwhelmingly large; I think they’re cute and classy.

Tiffany&co infinite bracelet

My parents gave this bracelet to me for my birthday last year and I wear it every day, It’s so dainty delicate but can be paired with a watch to make it more casual or worn on its own to dress your outfit up a bit. Tiffany makes the best bracelets that are just a great addition to anyone’s jewelry collection.

Anthropologie may flowers loop scarf
I love spring for all the layering you can do, and I am honestly a scarf addict I wear them all the time in spring and fall. This scarf from anthropologie is a great way to complete a simple and nice outfit because of the detailing on it!

Talula Manhattan leggings

I can’t say much aside from the fact that these are my favourite leggings, a must have in my collection.

OPI nail polish in ‘do you lilac it?’
This is just such a perfect spring nail colour! Why not have your fingers look like little Easter eggs? This purple polish will add a little bit of fun to every outfit! And it’s also one of my personal favourites.

Revlon colour stay lip gloss in the colour ‘Peony’
This gloss is such a beautiful light pink colour with shimmery particles in it, but it’s not overly sparkly, it just leaves the most gorgeous effect on the lips as well as adding a little bit of colour. It looks great paired with a gold eye shadow and coral cheeks which is a go-to spring look of mine! Also, peonies are my favourite flower so it’s just a bonus that this gloss is called Peony.

Brandy Melville Agnete knit cargidan
I love the detail in this cardigan; it’s just so soft and delicate looking and would be gorgeous paired with jeans or tights. It’s also light enough that you could wear it on its own or layer it with a jacket, I also like that it’s a little bit different from the classic Brandy Melville slouchy cardigan.

MAC blush in ‘Pink Swoon’
Pink swoon has to be in my top 5 MAC blushes, it’s a matte hot pink colour that transfers onto your cheek flawlessly and creates the most amazing flush. Since its matte it looks very natural, as if your cheeks just look like that! This is definitely another must have in my collection.

I would love it if you guys would go and check out my spring has sprung collection, hopefully it’ll give you some inspiration for new spring fashion and beauty or if you’re nosy like me and just want to check out what other people are loving for the warmer weather!

Product Empties!

Hello beautiful people!
I hope February was a wonderful month for all of you and I hope March will be even better! March is looking like it’s going to be a great for me as I’ll be starting up a job as a Gardener which I’m very excited about!
So I’ve seen these posts quite a bit and thought they were such a good idea, so I’ve been collecting my empties over the past couple of months and I’ll let you know what I thought of them and if I’ll re-purchase.

First up is the Batiste dry shampoo, I got a three pack from winners in the travel sizes before my boyfriend Carmen and I left on vacation for the Bahamas. I took the Original formula with me and I absolutely love it! It really absorbs any grease in my hair and adds a good amount of volume which I find to be important in the dry shampoos I like as I have pretty thin hair. It doesn’t sit heavy either, it’s quite a light formulation which is great because it doesn’t weigh my hair down at all! The one thing I will say is that it does spray into your hair white, so if you have dark hair like I do, you do have to work it in quite well so you can’t see any white residue. The original formula smells quite nice also, light and fresh and I think the full size retails for about 7$ which is pretty cheap. I’m going to keep using the other two and see how the scents are, but I can definitely see myself purchasing the larger size of the original scent.

Next up is a bit of an oldie for me, it’s the smashbox photo finish primer in green which is supposed to help reduce redness. I bought this a couple of years ago (shh) and I never really got into using it daily, then I used it for my sister’s wedding and fell completely in love with it. It has sort of a liquid to powder feel, and did help to cancel out any redness I had in my skin, it is quite expensive around the 50$ mark but it is well worth it. Foundation smoothed onto my skin like silk and I used this up really quickly. They’ve re-packaged it and it comes in a squeeze tube now which is much more makeup bag/travel friendly but as far as I know they haven’t changed the actual product. I’m currently trying out a couple of other primers but I know I’ll be re-purchasing this one as soon.

sometimes I’m lazy and like to take my makeup off with a wipe (don’t tell) I also use them if I’m applying make up to multiple people and want to give my brushes a little clean or cleanse their face.
The wipes I’ve been absolutely loving are the Simple cleansing face wipes. These are great for people who have sensitive skin or eyes, these wipes are oil and alcohol free, they have vitamin b5 to help soften the skin and they’re perfume and dye free. They don’t dry greasy and your skin really does feel cleansed and make up free, these don’t sting your eyes either which is a bonus BUT it is sort of hard to take off your eye makeup with these so I’d say use a separate eye makeup remover especially if you use a waterproof mascara. They sell for around 10$ for 25 wipes which is a bit expensive but if you’re not using them every day than I think they’re worth the money.

The next product unfortunately was a bit of a let-down for me, it’s the Marc Jacobs Magic Marc’er in blacquer. I wanted to love this eye liner so badly, and for the first I’d say 2 weeks I had it I did, I raved about it! And as it got more and more used to felt tip started to get little balls on it which I then had to pull off getting eye liner all over my finger(picture below). The tip also goes all soft and wonky making it so hard to apply, at first it created the most amazing liquid line and I was stoked, but as time went on I just became more and more frustrated with this product. The formulation is GORGEOUS, it has a leathery look as opposed to glossy or matte, it’s a pretty intense black and it also doesn’t smudge easily. I just really wish this liner had stayed fabulous, considering its 30$! I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing it.

The Clinique bottom lash mascara, this was in my January favourite’s post I believe and I will absolutely be purchasing this little guy again! My bottom lashes always look separated and defined when I use this, and the formulation does not budge! It’s actually rather hard to get off in all honesty, but totally worth it cause if you lose the mascara off your bottom lashes this little tube will be your new best friend, and a decent deal at 12$. I would and do recommend this to everyone!

Last but absolutely not least is the Caudalie hand and nail cream. I got this in a gift set from my best friend Amber for my birthday last year and it has been in my hand bag since! This cream is fast absorbing and super hydrating, my hands always feel super soft after I use this, and it smells really nice, a little bit of citrus but not in an overpowering way. It’s not greasy and you don’t end up rubbing your hands together forever to get it to work its way in, and you don’t need a lot of it either which is a bonus because I believe this little tube retails for $12 so it’s a little pricey. I’m currently using a L’occitane hand cream in my purse but I will definitely be going back to this one once I run out of that one!

Those are all my empties, let me know if you guys have used any of these and what you thought or if you have any recommendations and don’t forget to hit the like button!

Until next time xoxo,
