tea tuesday!

Good evening everyone!
Today I enjoyed a very large cup of one of my favourites; Peppermint tea

Peppermint tea is so refreshing and delicious, I would say I drink at least once a day. It’s a great drink to have when you’re just relaxing and watching a movie or sitting in class listening to a lecture.
This tea also has some really great medicinal qualities. Peppermint tea has been used for thousands of years as a way to relieve headaches, stomach aches, sinus problems and even menstrual cramps. Now I knew it helped with headaches because I will typically drink a cup if I have a headache, and my roommate rubs peppermint oil on her temples when she has one, but I didn’t know about some of the other benefits and I’m really happy to find out that this one plant can have so many wonderful properties.
While I was doing research I also found that it can be used topically to reduce skin irritations because it has anti-bacterial properties.
It’s also a muscle relaxant and an analgesic (pain reliever), which is why it helps with headaches and stomach aches so quickly.
I also read that studies have shown that the aroma of peppermint can benefit in keeping drivers alert and relaxed as well as students more focused when studying.
So there you have it! peppermint tea is not only delicious but is a natural way to help with your headaches, stomach aches, cramps, and even give you a needed boost when driving or studying! drink up 🙂
